Take this time to access why you are dependent on food, Feel the feels, don't feed them. I had this problem, I got a therapist before surgery and she helped sort out a lot of my issues. I would highly recommend a therapist that specializes in addiction or disordered eating.
Finding another vice just encourages the cycle of addiction.

For the last 18 years I have been involved in a 12 step program. I have used food as my vice/substitution. Once I have surgery in a few months, what will I have left? That question keeps going on in my head. Hopefully, just maybe, I will become a exercise junky. Anyone else suffer from any addiction?

You may want to chew something crunchy and the spit it out. It seemed to help me with the craving

I been 4 days out my surgery i feel fine but is it weird that i want actual food ? Im 22 weighed 208 going into my surgery and its hard this liquid stuff is not making the cut for me

I work in Charlotte and live in Clover, SC. Had my RNY 10/15/13. I've lost 105 lbs since 10/1/13, the beginning of my 2 week liquid diet prior to surgery. My surgeon is Dr. Keith Gersin with Carolina's Weight Management in Charlotte, part of the CMC hospital network. I haven't had any medical issues since surgery and I am so happy I did this.
