5'7" HW 318 SW 306 CW 271 (!!!) MOST IMPORTANT STAT -FEELING FABULOUS!
  2. Haven't posted in a while, but still doing great! My clothes are falling off of me! I have my 3 month post-op this week, so I'll know how much I've lost! I'm loving my sleeve!
  3. I'm the same - I only get weighed at the dr. Last time I was weighed was 10/3. I won't get weighed again until 12/10. I try to concentrate more on the NSVs!

    Height, Weight, And Size Poll

As of my 1 month post-op on 10/3 (yeah, I'm slacking), I was at 283.5, down from 306 day of surgery. I know I'm down more, but I only let the Dr. weigh me so that I focus more on the NSV's than the scale. I get comments/compliments almost daily, so I know I'm still losing. I'm able to eat anything I want, just a smaller amount...I love my sleeve! So much better than the band!
  5. I was told to take small sips to help mush the food up... I try not to drink with meals, but it does help!
  6. I get nauseous when I eat too fast and/or too much
  7. Are you using a straw?? I was told absolutely no straws!!
  8. Those that are constipated, are you taking pain meds? Pain meds have a tendency to back you up (yet another reason I don't take them). Upon discharge, my instructions were to take Colace if I became constipated. Have you called your doctor?
  9. Mr. Dodds, if you read back, everyone stalls at week 3. It works itself out - just keep following the rules!!!
  10. Went for my 1 month post-op today!!!! Down another 8 lbs for a total of 21 since surgery, 28 since the week before, and 33 since my high weight! Feeling great and my surgeon is more than happy!! Cleared for "any kind of exercise" I want. BMI, Fat % and neck size are also down!! Feeling great, loving my sleeve!!
  11. Ladies - Have any of you noticed a hormonal change yet? I have PCOS, and hypothyroid disease, and haven't noticed any change yet. I'll be asking my Dr. today when I can expect to notice. Just wondering if anyone from Sept. has noticed changes.
  12. I was up and about 2 days after my sleeve too. Everyone heals differently. I had no pain, took no pain meds - didn't even get the script filled. I was able to tolerate soft/pureed foods early too. My energy levels have never faultered. I went back to work the Wednesday following my Thursday surgery.
  13. That's awesome kona! I was sleeved on 9/4 as well! I get weighed again tomorrow!

    One major goal passed. PICTURES

What do you do at thegym? Any tips or tricks for those of us just starting out?
  15. So excited! Haven't been onthe scale since my post op on 9/9.. but I have my 1 month on Friday! I'm noticing a difference in the way my clothes fit, and in my reflection in the mirror! So excited! After failing with the band, it's so exciting to see real progress with the sleeve!
  16. I had the band prior to my revision, and I, too, suffered from over-confidence lol. Love and learn. .. lol
  17. It's so interesting to see the different instructions that each surgeon gives. I was sleeved the same day, and am on soft foods, progressing to normal foods. I also went back to work quickly-the wed after my Thursday surgery. I'm dying to get back to the gym!
  18. Steph- kidney stones are the worst! I battled them for an entire year before I had a specialist determine that my parathyroid was over-producing PTH. I feel your pain. I don't have the taste issues that you're having though. Have you asked your surgeon about it?
  19. Now that I just jinxed myself. I am having an issue eating cauliflower. It has made me nauseous 3 times now, and this time I got sick. Ugh!
  20. @@ColoradoTJS you sound like me! Though idk how much I've lost so far...I don't weigh myself. I didn't take any pain meds after I left recovery in the hospital. I feel bad for those that are having such a tough time. ..
  21. @@champ72 I had surgery the same day. I'm starting real food. Had some shredded roast beef today (my dad had knee surgery today and want eating his food). I only had a few bites, but I chewed it forever. It was great!
  22. I got chewable caltrate at Walmart!

    Height, Weight, And Size Poll

5'7". Started at 306 day of surgery. At my first post-op, I was 293. Haven't weighed myself yet, but I have an appt with Dr. Friday. I try not to obsess over the #. Started out fluctuating between 22-26. The capris I'm wearing right now are 22 and literally fall off. Jeans are 22 and I don't have to unbuttoned them to pull them off and on. I'll update Friday after my Dr. appt.
