  1. Hey all! I was sleeved 9/22. My highest weight was 292. I'm at 182. That's 110 lbs! Best decision I ever made ( besides marrying my husband)!
  2. Made it to my Christmas goal two weeks early! I've lost a total of 71 pounds since I've started my journey. 31 since surgery!
  3. Has anyone experienced kidney area back pain after eating?
  4. I've been the same way. I lost ten the first week after and have stalled. I was sleeved on the 22nd. 250 at surgery and 240 currently. I feel like we paid so much money for me to lose 10 pounds. I am discouraged by seeing everyone losing 40 pounds when I've lost 10.
  5. Just a suggestion for everyone. I found a homemade scar removal cream! 4 tsp lemon juice 4 tsp honey 1 egg white Preparation: To prepare this cream all you need to do is add all ingredients to a bowl, mix well, and your homemade scar removal cream is ready for use! Use: Apply the cream directly onto your scar and leave it for 15 minutes, then wash it off. Repeat the treatment once a week. If you use it regularly, your scars will completely heal within several weeks.
  6. I have to use the equate chocolate laxative. I take miralax with prune juice every other day and the laxative the other.
  7. I'm in the middle of week three. My first week I lost 15 lbs. I've gained 10 in the last two weeks. I'm doing everything I am suppose to. I'm moving all the time as well as working out 40 minutes a day. What am I doing wrong? I'm getting frustrated!

    Insurance Approval - Federal BCBS

Is there an insurance policy specialist at your doctors office? If so I'd call that person and talk with them. I have fed bcbs. When I inquired about my status I was told they wouldn't talk to me about it. Only someone from the office. I was approved within 48 hours as well. Do you have a copy of the policy? Have you done all of the requirements? Is there any missing paperwork they are trying to acquire? Just some thoughts. Good luck!
  9. I have gotten the you don't need to do that. There are better ways. Well, I've tried everything else! This is my last effort! This wasn't my go to for weight loss. This is my last hope. That's been my response.
  10. How long do stalls usually last? I lost about 10 lbs the first week and nothing for the last two. (Sleeved the 22nd). I'm getting frustrated and starting to wonder if surgery was the right choice for me.
  11. Has anyone talked to their doctor about gauged foods. I went in on Tuesday and my doctor gave me information on finding my gauge foods. Foods that fill me up and keep me filled longer. He also gave me some food for thought. He asked me what I'm giving up by losing weight. He also asked me what I am gaining by losing weight. I have physically been doing well with the changes that happening. Psychologically however is a different story. I'm used to eating what I want, when I wanted and in any amount. Now I need to be very conscious about my food decisions. Even though my stomach is full my mind keeps telling me that I haven't had enough. I was sleeved on the 22nd and the first two weeks were tough with food. I felt like I wasn't feeding myself enough. Now that I am in my third week I am having an easier time but there is still a battle. I never realized what an addiction I had to food till I couldn't have it anymore.

    Puréed Foods

I made taco soup for my family the other night and put a bit in the blender. It might be the desperation talking but I almost liked the soup better puréed. It was like a glorified tomato soup. Put a bit of cheese and sour cream on it. SO YUMMY! ????
  13. I have the same problem at my house. It kills me when my husband goes out and comes back with candy bars. Then he eats them in front of me. He tries to hide it but this fat lady here can smell chocolate and Peanut Butter a mile away. It's hard to change your lifestyle when everyone else around you isn't. I'm two weeks post sleeve and on puréed foods. Meals are far more satisfying. Stay in there! I know what you're going through.
