  1. Thanks that makes me feel 100 times better. I feel like my surgeon got paid for my surgery then just stopped caring. I have my next appointment November 5th so I'm definitely going to bring up all my concerns. I actually feel pretty good working out and have felt no "pulling" like some people describe when they work out. I have lost 3 inches from my waist so that excites me I guess I just need to ask my husband to hide the scale from me. It's so easy to jump on after I brush my teeth but then I ruin my whole day. Lol.
  2. That's what seems to be the norm but my Dr is so lenient it seems. He is already introducing foods for me. I'm taking it very very slow but this stall is killing me.
  3. 10/06 here. Feeling a little nervous because I'm 3 weeks post op and I've only lost 11 lbs. I've been in the dreaded stall for almost 12 days now. Anyone have instagram?! @its.jesssica ????
  4. Thank you for your replies, I really appreciate the encouraging words.
  5. I'm feeling really discouraged and well just a little sad. My sleeve was done October 6th, 2014, I am exactly 4 weeks post op and I've been in stall for almost 2 weeks. Starting weight was 226, and I'm down to 215. Luckily I've lost inches but I'm starting to get really anxious. I spoke to my nutritionist who isn't the most friendly or helpful and she said I should eat between 800-1000 calories since I'm going to the gym and am "active" but I work from home and sometimes have to spend hours on the computer so I'm too sure how active that is. Most desk jobs are considered sedentary aren't they? When I make it to the gym (5-6 times a week) I do cardio for about 30-45 min or Zumba and low weights. My main concern is I'm averaging 500-700 calories a day, 70g Protein, and under 50 carbs. My nutritionist now has made me worry that I'm putting my body into starvation mode and thats why I'm not losing but I really don't get too hungry to eat much more. My surgeon has already wanted me to start introducing some solids so I'm not on the soft/pureed foods anymore. I'm just really worried that I've already failed. Can anyone offer any suggestions on what I should be eating or doing to break this stall?
  6. I'm 4 weeks post op exactly today and I know what you mean. What makes it worse is that my nutritionist is not the friendliest or helpful. She wants me to eat between 800-1000 calories but I'm hardly hungry. I love carbs and being hispanic almost all my foods have rice so not having them is the worst.
  7. It's the exact same for me. It's so discouraging
  8. That's so reassuring to hear. My scaled has been stuck for a week ???? and I'm only 3 weeks post op. Did you do anything differently or change things up that may have helped the stall?
  9. Wow this is amazing, so many of us. Mine is October 6th and I am starving, all I was thinking about today was Pasta. But I'm soooo excited it's almost finally over. Lets keep in touch.
  10. @@MELISSA, stay strong! Think of how good your going to look and how good it's gonna feel to buy new clothes
  11. I'm October 6th hopefully if my insurance approves it in time. ????
  12. I'm day 3 and I'm dying for some wings but I know its going to be whats best. Stay strong
  13. Hey everyone, I need some encouragement. My surgery is scheduled for October 6th, currently on my 3rd day of my pre op diet. (which sucks, btw) My dilemma is my Drs office sent for approval Sept. 22nd and I still haven't heard anything and I'm nervous I won't be approved. I have a BMI of 41, high cholesterol, and a fatty liver. Can someone give me some insight of how long the process will take?
  14. Congratulations. My sleeve is scheduled for October 6th and I'm on day 2 of my liquid diet. I'm currently just waiting on my approval and fingers crossed its soon. My instagram is @its.jesssica if anyone wants to add
  15. I think we all have this fear @Newtina, I know I do. I've only ever lost with diet pills so and when I stop I put on way more than I lost. My surgery is October 6th and its my 2nd day on my liquid diet and I've already almost gave up twice. We just have to stick with it. Good luck
  16. I need all the motivation I can get, I'm on a 10 day liquid diet and I'm starving oatmeal, shakes, pudding, Soup, and a salad with very few veggies. BIG BIG headaches and attitude, lol. Idk if my husband is going to be able to put up with me.
  17. Yay! October 6th for me, is pre op diet is killing me though.
  18. October 6th and I completely feel the same about the "food funeral" I really don't feel strong enough for this 2 week post op diet
  19. Yay!! Mine is October 6th and I'm hoping my approval is quick.
  20. I'm having the same problem, mine is strict no foods which is torture. I'm wanting to start eating at least lentil soup but my Dr. and his office highly suggested their food. Basically the blandest oatmeal, soup, and pudding. Today is day 1 and I have the biggest headache
  21. Omg this makes me feel sooo much better about getting approved. BMI of 42, all pre-reqs done. My office submitted paperwork on Sept.22nd and my surgery is scheduled for October 6th. I've already started my pre op diet in hopes they'll approve me
