I just got my date today--November 10. Looks like there will be quite a few of us on that day. I will have my EGD on October 30 and start pre-op diet on November 3. I am so excited to have some sleeve buddies! -

Hi all! I found out insurance had approved me on Monday and got my actual date today. I am scheduled for November 10. I am a little nervous, but mostly just ready to get on with my life. I have been overweight for the last 15 years. This site has been incredibly helpful in making my decision to get the sleeve, and I think it is great to be able to talk with others who are in the same boat. -
Yes, I also have to pay my deductible to the surgeon before my EGD. Then, I have to pay my part of the hospital bill up front. Jamie

I have BCBS of TX. The Dr's office told me 5-7 business days, and BCBS told me 10-12. I found out I was approved on Monday by calling BCBS directly. The Dr's office found out yesterday after I called and told them. I should get my date tomorrow. It took 5 business days for approval, but 7 business days for the dr's office to get it. Hope this helps.
