    Atkins/Stalled

atkins diet is pretty much what you are supposed to do with the sleeve.protien and very low carbs.and of course lots of water.in the past I always had success doing atkins and I always gained everything back when I went to high carbs, with this surgery you have to eat your protein first then if there is room {which most likely be}thenn add some carbs.i do it with veggies.

omg only 20lbs!i have averaged a 10lb weight loss a month.i now am 5 months post op and 50 lbs lighter.when was the last time I did that????2 to 3 lbs a week is a healthy above average weight loss.

why oh why would you tell a 4yr old???your going to the dr that's it end of dicussion
  15. totally step away from the scale!i only way 1x a month when I go to dr.let your clothes weigh you in between.believe me you will see the difference in your clothes.it takes time for the numbers to catch up on the scale.when I get to my goal then I will start weighing myself a little more often but not until then.get off the roller coaster other wise you will be driving yourself crazy!!!

    Injectable B Vitamins

im getting b12 shots 1x a week for the next 4 weeks because my levels are very low.dr is doing it.
  17. I was told that drs wont do it on over 65 people.anyone else hear of this?
  18. thanks all,my hubbys dr told him he wont do sleeves on people over 65.bys mother just turned 67 and shes over 400lbs and really needs to do it.
  19. never had a b12 problem.last year was the first time my d was low.ive been researching causes of b12 defincey and its saying it could be caused by the acid reducer I take.b12 isn't able to be absorbed when you take protonix ,prilosec, zantac, etc.but ive always taken something for heartburn in the past!!dr said it could be beause of the small amounts of food that I eat.tiny portions, skinny body!!I"ll take the shots for the skinny!!!
  20. so I got my results yesterday from dr.b12 low so I have to do shots for weeks 1x a week.iron little low.i did expect that since I don't eat red meat often.sugar a tad high, which surprised me since I don't have sugar in anything except for veggies.which isn't much anyway.last year cholastrol was high now its normal.last year vitamin d was very low now its normal.dr explained that because of the small portions of food that I eat I might tend to stay on the lower end of the scale.i also take multi vitamins, calcium with and an extra 5000 d everyday.
  21. I weigh 1x a month at my dr visit.the rest of the month I let my clothes weigh me,they are more accurate then the scale and I haven't seen a stall yet!dont be a slave to the scale,it puts you on a roller coaster ,not good.i figure when I get to goal I will weigh weekly.
