    New

I only had to go for blood work and a EKG. My surgeon didn't require sleep study or endoscopy. He performed an endoscopy during my surgery plus my gallbladder had to be removed.

    50's

I'm 51 years old I had my RNY 4 1/2 months ago (2/9/15). Did experience issues palpitations, constipation, feet and leg swelling. My recovery time was 6 weeks. My surgeon had to remove my gallbladder during surgery. Since I've started to exercise my weightloss has increased. I have lost 89 Lbs.

Melanie that is awesome ! Been awhile since I posted....I have lost 57 pounds and almost 24 inches. I decided to keep track of inches when I have plateau I can maybe see inches lost..I was on a major plateau for almost 4 weeks. I have started exercising more and finally battled through it. I'm still having palpitations which Dr's not sure why since my ekg and BP are normal. Surgeon says it's from anesthesia and narcotics and my pcp says it's the dramatic changes I'm going through. My back aches are improving. Been having pt and acupunture which has help since I can't take anything for it.

Chrissy bug I too am suffering from constipation I am 14 days out I actually went 2 days in a row but I have to push to get it out . But me too it would be 2 or 3 days before again. I haven't tried miralax or colace yet. Dr told me to do prune juice but it hurt going down or the smooth move tea which I haven't tried. I'm trying to 64 oz in a day. Don't know what's the best thing to do either. I did have apple sauce yesterday hoping it may help.
