  1. LOL..... Yes it's the Weight Control oh...to tomatoe soup you can add some mozzarella cheese....hmmm:thumbup:
  2. Did your doctor suggest these? and why? I used to take b-12 shots before when i did this super expensive medically supervised diet I paid for ...and they were wonderful....they really get you moving.... But my current PCP said by blood work came back fine that I would have to have a dificiency for him to RX that. darn...I think I'm going to try my obgyn too!
  3. I am appalled someone spoke to you that way... Donald...Ha! good one.... yep,....can't wait for him to see you in two months.... I hope he has the toupe on tight! LOL
  4. I felt the same way....wondered why I had done this...but it only lasted a couple of hours on the 3rd day....after I felt fine and have actually loved my band. I have no hunger. I don't spend the day wondering what I'm going to eat, what to prepare..what I am craving because I want to hit the spot but don't know what it is...etc..... Now it's like darn...its already 5:30Pm time for dinner....but i'm not hungry...then I just smile...love my band...and I haven't even had my first fill yet.... It was worth it....I think it's the quick depression part of doing something so drastic to your body...it's like a friend told me your surgeon went and sliced you open put something in and closed you back up...what do you expect your body to act like it never happened! LOL No pain no Gain(Loss in our cases) LOL!
  5. Egg beaters 1/4 cup = 1 egg 1 oz of Salsa sprinkle a bit of cheese I make a spanish omelet with this.... Quick, easy, tasty but most important filling..
  6. Breakfast: instant oatmeal (banana bread) make with Water or milk as preferred... add some bananas... cook in the microwave.....and then put it all into the food processor.... yummy.... you wont even need to add any sugar..
  7. mushy stage recipe I love... Refried Beans (non-fat, low sodium) Protein Taco Salsa (can make at home or buy in bottle low sodium) vegetables cheese (dairy) If you buy the salsa might have to throw in the food processor first since most have chunks of tomatoes that need to be mushed. warm the beans in the microwave.....warm up the salsa on the side and sprinkle the cheese on top.... I love it!
  8. try sublingual b-12 vitamins. it works for me!
  9. congrats Viridescence! Ok so I did my own version of beans I got can of fat-free low sodium refried beans added some salsa and a bit of mozzarrella cheese....the best dinner I've had so far.!!!!
  10. I have to say yes! it will definitely help.... Since I was banded on 2/4/08 I have lost 16 lbs as of today 2/13/08. I have been walking 30 minutes per day.
  11. I started walking immediately. I did not have a preop diet. So once I was banded I wanted to take advantage of the liquid stage which I still am on and loose as much as possible before my first fill and before mushies. As I have heard people gain some back in the beg of mushies. Its all in what you want. My surgeon recommends 15 to 30 as soon as you are able to after banding.
  12. No problem...guess what... I misread my stages instructions thank goodness I woke up not hungry at all so I had my normal full liquids routine...and I then decided to see what a typical lunch consists of for mushies and nope....next tuesday is when I can move to mushies...and it will go on for 4 weeks...yikes... 3 days StLouisGal yipee!!
  13. :mad::party:Congratulations Sharon!!!!!!!

  18. Yes Amy isn't it crazy! Thank Goodnes we were all approved. Guys I have lost 12 lbs. I didn't even start a preop clear liquid diet until the day before surgery. I couldn't help it I had to weigh myself. My mother keeps telling me I look like I've lost, my brother came to visit and told me I look like i've lost.
