  1. My son does the swim team in winter, so he will have practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm planning on also swimming while he does his laps!
  2. It's pretty easy to eat low carb/dairy free. I have a hectic life style and usually manage it well
  3. I know church is important, but fasting isn't really good for us.. Unless its just fasting from certain items. You need to keep your blood sugar on an even keel, and going too long without food can actually not be great for your body.. it could be causing you to snack, or feel more hungry than usual. Bloated belly could be several things.. sugar.. wheat.. dairy..
  4. Perhaps you have a certain type or look you are attracted to. Unless you have sought them out for a date or whatever, I wouldn't let it bother you.
  5. This past month was my worst loss so far. 2 pounds.
  6. I'm confused.. which baby needs care while you are recovering? Your grandbaby or your baby? If its just your grandbaby, can't their parent find alternate care for a week or two?
  7. How old are your kids? I have a rambunctious 2 year old and an 8 year old. Take them on the walk with you! If one doesn't walk, then throw them in a stroller and go.. walking and running are good for them too. Mine exercise with me and love it!
  8. I had to do the 6 month diet. I lost nothing. I wasn't required to lose a number/percentage of weight. Edited to add that I also had to do the 2 week liquid pre-op and lost 11 pounds on that.
  9. Beautiful! Congrats!
  10. You are losing great. I know some who have lost much less than that.. Just keep going.. and try not to compare yourself.. Your loss will slow down eventually anyway, just keep following your plan.
  11. Good to know.. that's how my last month was.. the least amount that I've lost so far.. so logically I know that its not that much of a big deal, just worrisome.
  12. I'm sure.. I'm up a couple pounds too.. which I don't know is from my workout this weekend, or what. But annoying.
  13. I get nervous that this is it.. and I'm not ready to be done. Some days I don't even feel like I look any different..
  14. How old is the baby? My friend had it done and she has a disabled 2 year old that she has to completely care for. She had a couple friends come sit with her for a couple days since she couldn't lift her, but other than that she was fine. My son was almost 2 when I had the surgery, and he can walk, and he was fine. All you would need is someone to take care of the child while you are in the hospital, and your husband could do that if you had no one else..
  15. Don't let some a-hole dictate your future. You do YOU.
  16. I'm down just about 90 pounds.. and it definitely slowed down A LOT this month.
  17. I feel the same.. and sitting in a bit of a stall, which doesn't help!
  18. Cod is a funky type of fish..
  19. Instead of beating yourself up and blaming yourself, make a plan. What exercise will you do on each day, and what will it be.. 3 times a day walk 10 minutes if you can.. Whatever you can do.. and get back on track.. Track your foods. You can do this.
  20. I love her.. Biggest Loser makes her seem like a monster (cutting out the parts where she is consoling someone, and putting in all the screaming cuts, which is why she left the show). Check out her podcast though. She was heavy when she was younger. She actually really cares about people.
  21. I love fish! Salmon is one of my favorites, but I also like flounder. The best thing to do is research how to cook it. Fish shouldn't "smell" like fish.. it really shouldn't smell at all. Smelly fish is old fish. Try to buy fresh caught wild fish, and not farm raised. And really research how to cook it. Most fish is terrible if its overcooked. Salmon shouldn't be cooked all the way through.
  22. I'll never forget when I was listening to a podcast by Jillian Michaels (I know some hate her, but I love her).. and she said, the muscle makes you gain myth is total bunk.. its something people to say to make someone feel better and that its really, really hard to gain that much muscle.
  23. Don't know if anyone still has this issue, but throw 1/2 cup of white vinegar in the wash.. It helps!
  24. No, not inches lost.. I believe that.. I mean the muscle weighs more than fat theory.. I've been weightlifting for quite some time, so I don't think that's why I'm losing less weight than the previous few months.. I think I'm just in a bit of a stall.
