I am sleeved!!! Surgery was pushed to 1:30 PM so I am 13 hrs post op n doing great???? I was in my room by 5 and up walking by 8. Got a little nauseous when I walked so the gave me some meds n was fine right away. I did take some pain meds ( prob why I did so great.... Lol) which interfered with my saturation levels a bit but all is great now .
I go in at 9:30 AM for the Dye test so wish me luck????
Hope everyone else is doing super great too!!!

My surgery is 9/17. Just a couple more days! Wow there are a lot of us in the next couple days!!! Prayers to all for tomorrow!!! I hope everyone checks back in and lets us all know how it went!???

I tried some premix broth from costco yesterday and couldn't do it. I might add some Water to it and give it a go.
My surgery isn't until 4pm tomorrow! UGH! So excited for you. I am not great at the twitter but I will have plenty of time tomorrow to look into it. Best of luck tomorrow!

i prefer homemade chicken broth over store-bought. i season it the way i like it.
and i learned today that my tastebuds do NOT like store-bought beef broth! Yuck!

My surgery is tomorrow 9/15/14. Started the liquid diet yesterday and had no idea how hungry I would be. I have two active kids that I was running around all day and the headache was crazy. Today is much better. Hanging around the house getting all the laundry done before tomorrow.
I'm 42 250 pounds and about 5'7. My goal weight for myself is 155. I would love buddies to keep in touch with as this journey begins!!!!

All for my son! My little blessing needs his mummy in the best of health for as long as possible.

I'm surprised at some of the questions I see here and on other WLS boards from new VSG patients, like ...
* I just had VSG surgery. What am I supposed to eat now?
* My surgeon says not to drink alcohol until X months out. Can I drink now anyway?
* When can I start eating ice cream?
* I'm four days out and just had chicken McNuggets. Have I damaged my sleeve?
* If you plan to drink heavily, first take a Percocet to calm your stomach.
I totally get that, even pre-op, this surgery can sometimes be overwhelming. But some patients' questions suggest that even though they've just undergone major surgery they haven't read their post-op instructions, understood their instructions, don't believe what could happen to them if they don't follow instructions, or maybe they just never received any instructions at all.
Weird!

I must be blind as I haven't seen a single negative posting, all I've read over the past few weeks is positive responses and honesty. I for one appreciate honesty.

When I went to Great America twice in the same year and I waited in line all that time only to be told the bar wouldn't close. That was so embrassing and I knew something had to give. So thankful my surgery is 2 weeks away. I'm ready for a change!!

Just had my Surgery 3 days ago. I first day I said to myself "why the bleep did I do this to my self". The second day I didn't feel as anxious. Today the 3 day I feel really good except my tummy is a little sore when I sit or lay down. But what is amazing is that I'm starting to think about all the wonderful things that will take place in my life and that gets me very excited. So far as of today I have no regrets.
