Hi ladies (and men, if so inclined)
Just wanted to share something that's really helped me. I've felt pretty sick, tough recovery so far. Each night, I've been digging out something to pamper myself. You know, that stuff we buy, use once and then put on a shelf never to be seen again?
Well, I busted it out. I've been doing face masks, sugar scrubs, lip scrubs, etc. It really has helped mentally. Bonus, all that stuff doesn't go to waste!
Just wanted to share - I may feel like s**t but my skin looks good!
Also, I tried to put this in the "powder room" forum and it wouldn't let me?

Omgoodness that's an awesome compliment because no I have not had skin removal surgery.... yet. LOLI may someday for my tummy but it's not so bad that I need it done right away.
I do not have any boobies which kinda sucks so that may be in my future too.
My arms have a little bit of damage but not too bad IMO.
    I do workout, yes.
    My exercises are:
Winter - snow-shoeing, cross country skiing and I plan on trying downhill skiing this year (haven't done that since I was a kid!)
All other seasons - hiking, biking & walking
Gym or indoor stuff - yoga, weight training, high intensity workouts, spinning, stairmaster, rowing, & Zumba
I workout anywhere between 3-6 days a week. Just depends on how I feel and what's going on in my life during that week
Thank you again for the sweet words!

In those last few days before surgery, my happiness and excitement completely overwrote any lingering fears. I had a hard time keeping a smile off my face as they wheeled me in. I knew my life was finally going to change forever, and that fat would no longer be my defining word.
Commit to this change with every Fiber of your being and I promise you that you will never look back again. I can't adequately describe how much better my life is now than it was before surgery.
And please make sure you take plenty of before pics, along with your measurements.
    Congrats and best of luck!

    Now related to this post...
I've been quite surprised about how little sagging skin I have, especially with my stomach. I'm still planning on plastic surgery, but if I didn't have it, I could get by.

I couldn't stay in any more. Sitting on my porch and deck wasn't Cutting it anymore. I went to see my gram for 2 hours and stopped at the grocery for some Soup and milk.
I feel pretty good. Time for a nap and relax.

Your outside appearance changes a lot faster than your internal view of yourself, especially if you've been fat your entire life. It can take a long time to mesh the new thinner person in the mirror with the old fat person in your head.
I'm still having problems coping with this issue.

Almost three years out and it still hurts my sleeve. I was a Diet Pepsi addict... Multiple cans a day. I gave it up before surgery and am thrilled it doesn't have the same appeal to me or hold over me. I am also thrilled not to incur the expense--more money to spend on cute clothes! Bikinis and my new addiction.

Hmmm my surgeon specifically said no carbonated beverages EVER . I gave up Diet Coke after my first surgeons appt . I think if I tried it I would get hooked again .

2 more days of this liquid diet, 1 day of Clear Liquids then I go in! I'm not a scared as I thought I would be. My husband has finally told me how he feels. He doesn't want me to do this. He insists I can lose the weight with diet and exercise. Yet, he says he supports me. Well, despite how he feels, I am foing this. This is for me and my health. Why do people wait until the last minute to voice their opinions and try to make you feel horrible?
