  1. It will get better the further out you get. Stay strong and you will actually begin to feel stronger too. Best of luck! You can do this!
  2. I'm so sorry to hear this. It amazes me that they couldn't have figured out there was a problem way before now. Hope you're able to work something out. Good luck!

  5. Wonderful news! That's how I felt too and the rest of my recovery was easy. Hope yours goes the same. Congrats!
  6. Sorry your surgery was cancelled, but glad they found the mass and now you can be treated. Hopefully there's still a chance of wls in your future. Best of luck!
  7. Congrats and major kudos on your accomplishments!
  8. Welcome and congrats! It is definitely a new beginning, and with your support system already in place, I'm sure you'll do great!

  10. That's amazing and you look incredible! Congrats!
  11. I hardly ever drank Water as a pre op. Never liked the taste. I primarily drank Coke Zero. Now I love water. I don't even like it flavored with crystal light or anything, just plain. It's a great trade off and the soda cravings are getting easier. Never thought I'd be able to break that habit, and now it's over three months without one. I used to love cold cuts too, but can't stand them now.
  12. You do that sash proud! You look beautiful - congrats!
  13. If it had to be December than the 1st is the absolute best day! Congrats!
  14. Yes, that's a pretty amazing feeling, isn't it? Hold on to that happiness and let it carry you through until surgery. Congrats!
  15. I waited about two months. So far I've been lucky though and haven't had issues with anything.
  16. Congrats on your upcoming surgery! It will fly by, I promise. Best of luck!
  17. So normal it's nearly a rite of passage. ????. Hang in there!
  18. I'm so sorry this happened. I would be devastated too. I hope things are straightened out soon and you are able to proceed with your surgery.
  19. I totally get it. It took me a year to get through my requirements. I thought it would never actually happen. I fretted and worried that something was going to trip me up along the way. I created all these worst case scenarios in my head. I drove myself crazy. It was intense. But now I look back and laugh, because today it feels like nothing. And I'm able to appreciate more fully that the extra time benefitted me. I was more than prepared. I was absolutely confident I was making the right decision. I have zero regrets. I promise you, one day you too will look back on this time and laugh. And once the post op period begins you start all over again. It's just a different phase. Hang in there! ????
  20. You are definitely not alone! Welcome and congrats on being on you way to weight loss surgery. I'm a little over three months out from my RNY and couldn't be happier!
  21. I've had them twice in my life, both before surgery. The first was so bad that I was hospitalized for three days. I had no idea what was happening, and the excruciating pain came out of nowhere. I remember I was vacuuming at the time. And when I finally got home again the vacuum was still sitting there where I'd left it in the middle of the room. The second time I knew exactly what was happening, so it wasn't as traumatic. But it's a pain you never forget. Hope you're feeling better now!
  22. @@BLERDgirl nutritional information was provided during the six months of classes required as part of the approval process. But we never met individually with a certified nutritionist, or were provided with nutritional support as post ops.
  23. Congrats! Another requirement bites the dust.
  24. Wow! You look like a model, seriously! Congrats on your phenomenal success!
