  2. Since I'm going to be in in hospital or just out after entering bandland I figured I'd take the opportunity today to wish you good luck Lanakila, elisa, Katiegrrl, uaroadtramp, DawnJacobs, Silverband, targa, LadyWinsAll, skinnyjenny08, ms1981, ktravel, jazma, Kickash73, and the 28th August banders!! Hope you come through it all ok! :wink2: :crying:
  3. So my day has finally arrived!! I'm heading into hospital tomorrow at 7AM with my dad as we are both being banded tomorrow!! Had today off work so I spent it cleaning and washing dogs, dog beds, clothes etc, I mowed the lawns and filled in a HUGE hole I my dogs had dug almost into next door which I lined with bricks!! (glad I found that one before tomorrow!!) Packed for a few days at mum and dads which involved packing up the dogs too, the car was chockers  I'm not feeling nervous yet, in fact it doesn't seem real. I'm excited about the future though!! :tongue2:

  7. Good luck for tomorrow band buddy!! It will be over soon and then it really begins!! :crying:
  8. Thanks Amaltha!
  9. I'd call your doc just to be sure But it could also be you are standing/sitting differently to how you used to! And that has caused a strain on your back because you are moving about differently. And if you are also sleeping differently that could also aggravate it....I don't know just a thought.
  10. I hear you I screeched to a halt on my preop this week for a few days! Then today they went down 200grams. Can't complain though to date I have lost a total of 10 kilos (~22 pounds) about 7.6kilos (16.72pounds) on the preop :crying: And I keep telling myself that this will be a journey of ups and downs and that I shouldn't be discouraged or feel crap when stuff happens and my head moves into the right frame of mind! :wink2:
  11. Good luck for Friday Lezlie!! Im sure you'll be fine and if you do have pain in a few months it will be a distant memory! :crying: That is what I keep telling myself anyway! :wink2:
  12. HAHA Having been eating what we have been lately I think there are lots of foods I usually wouldn't eat that I would love to munch on! Just to get a different flavour!!
  13. OMG :crying: I am picturing this and LMAO!! That is classic!
  14. Thanks Lellow!! I am getting excited now! I have today off work to get last minute things done and stuff, I have been very productive!....mowed the lawns, had to fill a HUGE hole I just discovered my dogs had dug almost through to next door (They have a little fluffy dog, I have a greyhound!! Really don't want to risk something bad happening!!) Had to fill it with umpteen bricks and then backfill the dirt! Glad I discovered it today though otherwise I wouldn't have been able to rectify the situation!! Did several loads of washing including my dogs beds and washed the dogs too (My labradoodle was filthy from the hole digging!!), going to pack my stuff and my dogs things in a minute then off to mums for a few days! I'll have internet there so I'll try to post asap! Good luck to everyone else!!!!
  15. Thanks Gary! Yep as far as I'm aware we all stay overnight here in Australia! I am kinda glad for that and kinda wish I could go to my own bed

  17. I've seen it watching the Athletes on the television! I've also seen it on myself at times...it is weird...
  18. Congrats on the banding guys! You're on your way! Gary, didn't they load you up with warm blankets!?? That is the thing I demand coming out of surgery
  19. I suggest that you consult your doc if you are worried about anything!!
  20. I get the shot before and nothing after just told to do those movements like you're supposed to do on the plane and breathing exercises! PHEW!!!
  21. Congrats not long now!! I understand the hunger I go to bed every night with a growly belly!!! But I haven't diverged!!
  22. Mine also said not to exercise for that long but said walking is a great way to get rid of the gas so walks are fine just don't overdo it!
  23. Oh no!! I hope your back gets better soon and that it doesn't stuff up the surgery date!! Sending positive vibes........
  24. Hey lolo and sd2Tx we're band buddies!! Not long now
