    2 days post op

Hey there kimpicc!! Thanks for Asking I'm feeling much better!!!!! Gas pain is gone except Occasionally and just exhausted and worn out but that's expected!! Congrats on your surgery day!! It will be here before you know it!!! My advice would be to make sure you let yourself heal, don't push yourself to get better ASAP just let your body do what it's going to do, expect chest pains from gas (no one told me This, so when I had it I was nervous, but my dr said it's completely Normal) and just walk walk walk as much as you can to break it up, and sip sip sip, take your time while drinking and don't eat anything your not supposed too.. Make sure you take the sperimatior they Give you in the hospital for Your deep breaths home with u and do that as much as possible That helps with the gas! And just take it day by day, it gets way easier!!! Good luck hope That helped!!

    Don't feel full!

I'm glad your coming along! I'm glad I'm not the only one!!! Idk I just thought is eat what I could and be of full to finish, I'll prob wait to see how it goes for this month then ask the doc when I see him next month for my one month...I hope I can be successful with this too esp since I've come this far!!
  10. I am a week post op today, I didn't feel Hungary at all until Monday, but jello or protein shake would help! Starting yesterday I was able to add things like pudding, creamy soups and oatmeal, but I don't feel full after eating and now sure when to stop! Has anyone else experienced this? I thought I would have a full feeling after being able to add more things to my diet, why don't I??

    Hubby doesn't understand!

Thank you I'm glad I'm not the only one who had an emotional breakdown!! I don't expect him to be on the same kind of diet as me just to understand a little more! I didn't realize how much my life revolved around food until my surgery! Thank you for the advice, I'll def be distracting myself more when he's eating!
  13. I am 5 days post op and on the liquid diet! My husband has been nothing but supportive during this entire process!! But this week the hardest week, he's been cooking all my favorite meals for himself! Today was my final straw when he is making himself fried egg sandwiches for breakfast!! It's been okay up until yesterday I actually felt Hungary for the first time since surgery, but I miss food! I just want to eats something and enjoy foods again! I know it gets better and hopefully tomorrow when I go for my post op they will tell me I can start puréed foods! But I feel like my husband just doesn't understand what I'm going thru, what it's like to not be able to eat whatever you want, whenever you want!! He sits and complains that he doesn't know what to make or that he's Hungary, yesterday we went to the grocery store and he complained cause everything looked good! I almost lost it on him!! How can I make him understand what I'm going thru? Has anyone else experienced this?
