The list is updated. Teal is those who had surgery, and the pink are the ones next in line. I also added the link to the list in my signature as well as some very helpful links. If anyone comes across a more extensive list of shakes along with the nutritional info, please let me know. I'd love to have a good list like that. Jessiquoi - that’s a good idea. Take that time off and get adjusted. Especially being type 1. I think you have a good advantage of being towards the end of Oct. That way you can see what everyone is going through
HA ! We are very similar, we are the “in your face” share everything. But I’m with you. I’m being very very selective too on who I tell.

Akflatt - you too hang in there with the pre op diet. And yeah, it really is weird every doctor has their own thing. My only pre op diet is low fat, and some would say that’s great, but it makes me wonder if my liver will shrink enough.. I think we worry no matter what LOL

Meonthelist - Congrats on your surgery!!! Keep us updated on the difficulty swallowing and if it’s getting better. I agree, this site is great for people who have kept things quiet. Also it’s a great learning tool.

Shmeyers - My surgery buddy! I added some links in my signature, so you can click on the abbreviations. Right now I’m in the “I want to be prepared” stage. House cleaning, shopping, ordering shakes, getting recipes ready, list of things for hospital, and everything else. And yeah, even the funeral stuff.. just incase. I hate to think about that, but it’s been on my mind a bit. A lot of it is because I have a very very rare blood clotting disorder. So I do have to be super careful with surgeries. But on the flip side, I’m planning my 40th birthday in June.. I’m all over the map, haha. Amazing how many 14ths there are !!!

My date is Oct 20th!

Had my surgery oct 1. Also had 2 hernias repaired. So far doing well. Ive been resting a lot and walking the halls. Never felt ao good after burping. Meals the hospital has me on are the standard post op stuff. Jello

Water. Popsicles. Im spendinga 3rd night in the hospital mainly due to precautions as my blood pressure has been rather high. No big deal its a nice hospital. I was told you can begin driving 48 hrs after last pain med. Beeen a long proceas to get to this but im excited for the future.

I was sleeved October 1st in houston, tx. I just got home last night. I'm glad it's done now I'm just wodering when the pain will subside. My doc keeps saying to walk it out.. which i am but i can't seem to pass gas lol. Other than that I'm pretty okay. my husband just went out bought some foods for me to eat and a brand new mattress (tempur pedic) so I can be comfortable. I just really want this pain gone.. Congrats to everyone else out there that's has already been sleeved and to everyone waiting.. im praying that itll be smooth...inshallah:)

I had my sleeve on October 1st. I am so glad to have people to be on this journey with me! I am having some trouble with nausea and difficulty swallowing. I had a hiatal hernia repair and wonder if that is my reason for some of the discomfort. Dr said things will loosen up over time. I sure hope so! So thankful to have this site since I have kept things very private in my "real world"

I like how you worded that. I think liver reduction diet sounds better than liquid diet. I may use that since I start mine tomorrow morning. Going out tonight with friends to say goodbye to the old me.

Hello everyone, third day on pre-op. I've suffered with major headaches today I'm assuming it's due to my diet not really sure. I'm pressing forward, right now all I want to do is sleep for the next 11 days . October 7th sleevers 11 days remaining (first time I've smiled this afternoon ). I'm hoping I feel a little better tomorrow. Hang in everyone, we can do this!

I do a lot of lurking here - not a lot of writing - but I just got my date yesterday and its October 14! I'm so excited and a little bit nervous. I feel like I've spent so long preparing for this that I know what to expect, but also I've never had surgery before so I couldn't possibly know what to expect. I just hope I don't have buyers remorse afterwards!
Also, how long are you guys planning on being out of work? Im giving myself up to 2 weeks and hoping I dont need that much.

12 Days remaining October 7th sleevers! Who's excited, me lol! I know it's quite a few of us. Second day on pre-op diet (low-carb), it's going well for me. My husband is also participating with me on the diet , he's a great support. How's everyone else doing on pre-op?

My surgery date is Oct 15th. Excited. Nervous. Ok... Crazy nervous. Maybe that's why I'm awake at 3am reading forums and posts instead of sleeping! LOL. But hearing everyone's stories, fears, anticipation helps. It's nice to know we all have each other. We're not alone in this. I have a great support structure, don't get me wrong, but they're not going under the knife. It's you all that really understand. Guess I just want to say thanks. Keep posting!

LiveLaughLove - I feel like you’re such a buddy ! i’m 39, been through 3 failed IVF attempts because of miscarriages. This is my last option. How does the pre op stuff work when you do it out of the country? Do you video chat with the doctors ? Man.. I really relate to you !

I’m doing pretty good right now. I have been hitting the gym hard! Starting doing some cross fit techniques. I have a feeling I’m going to turn into a gym junkie! I tried Zumba today but that was an epic fail. My coordination level was not good ! Ended up leaving mid class and working out with some friends. I weigh in for the last time on 9/10 and then everything is submitted to insurance. This is getting real so fast !! Hugs everyone !

I had to do some basic info, nutrition, and exercise classes on top of my visits with my regular doctor. I liked it all though, makes me feel very prepared
