Betty I know you weren't putting those people down.... if anything I bet it just broke your heart. What bothers me about seeing people like that is, I know I can become just like them, so its scary to me. I love birds but the town begs us not to feed them b/c the seeds attact bear. Yes believe it, we get bears and lots of them. NJ had a so many that they allowed folks to hunt them at one time ((poor things)). Please lets not turn this into a religion thing and blow it out of context..... my suggestion was for topics other than the band that have adult content in it. There will always be subjects that people will get upset about and you can't please everyone. My suggestion would be to do this on an experimental basis.... give it a try, see what happens. If it fails...zap the board and its done. I haven't gotten any PM's about folks complaining about religion....its more about the fighting and sexual content...thats it! But if its a concern, maybe there should be a thread for Religious questions / Pagan questions... I dunno...????? but lets start some where. I should have PM'd Mr. Alex but thought this would be the right place to bring up such a question/suggestion. Just think you could say more than you could on the restricted board... might be fun.

Heather I agree with you some what. Its easy for ME to stay out of threads I don't agree with but we do have some younger folk here that might just wonder into them. But the reality is, alot of folks are shying away from LBT because of those few topics or the fighting thats been going on lately. I'm not saying to stop the adult topics either, heck no, to each his own. This board is awesome and can really become enormous b/c of the wonderful people and support thats here. I'd hate to see it go the other way. My post is only a suggestion to Alex.

Can I please make a suggestion..... Could a board be set up titled "Adult Topics" Not everyone can get into this board, you must request access from Alex. The board can be kept invisible from new folks and the folks that do not wish to have access, but the ones who have access can see it. Or, it can be visible but you would need a password to get in...something along those lines. All adult threads and conversations can be moved to that board...yes, kinda like an anything goes board. I have been getting some pm's and emails from new/old posters saying that they are posting alot less b/c of these types of threads. This is a wonderful place and I'd hate to see it go down hill or scare people away from posting just b/c of a few threads. Personally, they do not bother me but it is scaring some folks away. Wadda think????

Lisa, that girl would drive me nuts with her mannerism. I would have said "DO YOU MIND, I'D LIKE ONE" and maybe some one else would. Maybe you should make a batch of brownies w/exlax in it and put it by her desk (yeah I know thats mean, I wouldn't do it but its tempting).

OMG people tell newbies its a sure thing..... OY VEY !!! Your not kidding it takes committment. My family (mom sister even friends) are watching me and they realize the band is not a cure, they are seeing me struggle with making the right food choices, the quantity I eat and getting my ass up from the couch and going for a walk. Kat, Silly girl, you are loved lolol I think your DH is just very nervous about the surgery. My suggestion would be to bring him with you when you talk to the surgeon. Thats what I did and when my DH walked out of the office w/me he said.... your going for the band RIGHT? LOLOL !!! I said yes dear. Maybe you and/or your doctor can make it clear to him that this is a serious situation of you being over weight and the older you get the more damage the extra weight can cause the body. I too was/am fat since I'm 6 years old. I remember my first diet at the age of 10. Broiled burgers (hockey pucks) and green Beans w/no butter. OMG while the rest of my family ate meat loaf and taters... WTF???????? how sad is that to a child. But my mama tried. Anyway..... Your gonna have to calm your DH fears and having him talk to the doctor might be the way to go.... just a suggestion. Good luck !!!!

Good Morning, Nice to see you all today I have to tell you all that I met another banster from the boards yesterday. She lives out on the west coast and was here visiting her FIL. We had a lovely dinner yesterday. I sware, I felt like I knew her for years, what an awsome lady. Some of you might know her Grizgirl. Anyway I told her to come here and post b/c you ladies are THE BEST!!!! Her DD and my DD got along so well that by the time we left the place where we ate, they were holding hands...very cute. Anne, gee I'm sorry about the results but boy am I glad you caught it...scary, I know. I need to make my obgyn appt soon. I haven't seen her in DON'T KILL ME!!!! almost 5 years. Since my DD was born...yikes, I know. I promise I will go this year, soon. Pat, I love to watch birds, I don't think I've ever seen an eagle in the wild. We get tons of hawks and turkey vultures but thats about it. The hawks are beautiful to watch. I love animals period!! Oh I can see you struttin around town in your corvette...hot stuff !!! It was 65 degrees here yesterday. Zan you back from GA yet? We're expecting 50 MPH winds today, between 10 am and 6 pm with rains...fun !!! Well kids back to work for me.....I'll be surfing later. Josy, YOU ROCK !!!!!!! Good job I'm so sorry for the slip. How can the doctors correct it? Years ago I lost 150 lbs... (no band of course) I kept it off for 10+ years, and I too used to say NEVER will I get that big again..... sigh. I gained back 110 lbs and here I am trying to work it off again with the help of the band. I will never say never again lol.
