I had my surgery November 3, 2014. I am almost 1 month out and I have lost 21 lbs since surgery. I had started my journey back on May 1st and weighed 286 pounds. I met with Dr Kim July 1st and made the decision to get the process started. At that time I weighed about 275. By the time I started my 1 week liquid diet on Oct 27 I weighed 273. I had the surgery and I am healing up and doing pretty good. I am a bit disappointed by a few things...first, I still have cravings for sweet and bread products. I have heard so many people get sick from sweets but at least I am pretty good about eating sugar free. The other thing is it has been almost a month and I honestly see no difference. My family has said they can see the loss but for some reason I cannot. My clothes still fit the same etc. I am currently on the pureed phase of the diet which I am actually doing pretty good on. It is amazing how little I can eat at one sitting. I have tried multiple protein shakes and I do not really care for any of them and it has been hard to force myself to drink them. I know that this was a very good decision for me, i have discovered alot about myself in this process and look forward to learning more.
