    What are your excuses?

Some of us wouldn't like if someone got in our personal stuff, I consider my surgery personal. When I go out dining with people who aren't close and don't know about my surgery I have to make excuses of my food portions (usually I go with heart burn) what do you usually say if you've been through this?
  2. I've had the gastric sleeve and 7 months out. Didn't get my period in two months! At first everything was normal, just the past two months. Anyone went through this? Is it normal?

    Did you get taller?!

I'm not sure if this sounds right but after losing weight I actually started getting compliments on appearing taller in height! Numbers haven't changed and I don't think there's a chance that I'm still growing lol, but I actually do appear taller. My mom has always been a little taller than me but now it's actually the other way around. Did any of you guys suddenly grew lol?

Hey guys, I was just wondering about the surgical scars? Do they fade after a while? Whoever experienced something that helps please share!

    Do you tolorate Subway?

What kind of subs do you get? Amount you can eat?
  10. Surgery Date: 12/23/2013 Surgery Kind: Gastric Sleeve Start Weight: 230 pounds Current Weight: 147 pounds Goal Weight: 130 pounds As you see I'm 7 months out and lost a total of 83 pounds, but I have a problem of not seeing my progress. I look in the mirror and still see myself obese (which at this point I'm not) and I compare myself to others with my same weight and always find myself believing that they look more fit and healthy! I also go way hard on myself, today I had a 6 inch sub divided into two meals, I'm still feeling guilty I had the whole thing because it's my first sub since the surgery. It's driving me crazy because everyone around me is proud of my achievements except for me, I manage to find something wrong here or there. Do I need to talk to a doctor? Is anyone here facing the same problem?
