She needs to contact the doc as soon as possible and if she can't reach him go to the hospital. Extreme nausea and extreme pain is not normal.

Thanks all, she's on hydrocodone at a pretty high dose but she didn't take it today because the liquid hurts going down. I talked to two surgeons on call, one was an ass but the second called in a different nausea meds. Hoping that will work. I've discovered how unbelievably stubborn she can be. If it persists like this I will take her to the ER.

I do not post here much but I am a frequent lurker and reader. I was sleeved on September 12, 2014. So I am a little over six months out. I am down 105 pounds. I am 15 pounds way from my goal of 215. I am pretty comfortable with my eating plan. I cheat occasionally but not often. My activity level has increased significantly over the last several months. I am hoping to reach my goal by June. Here are a couple of before and after pics.

Also forgot to mention one of the best parts, this stuff is Lactose free! For anyone still pre op it is a possibility that post op you will develop a sensitivity to lactose and that makes this a great product to mix your Protein Powder with or just drink. For post oppers I'm sure some of you get the lactose struggle

I had my gastric bypass on September 8, 2014. HW was 279. I'm 5' 7.5" tall. My current weight is 151 lbs. I look great and feel fantastic. This is the best decision I've ever made. It has changed my entire life.

Honestly think about it big picture. It's 2 weeks out of the rest of your life that you have to do a liquid diet. Two weeks is such a short amount of time in the grand scheme of things. The end result is WORTH IT, seriously! This might sound harsh but if I'm being honest you gotta just to do it and not give yourself room for excuses. That's what I did for myself to get through it.

I just added my goal video to the gallery. I don't know why but I'm a bit emotional about posting it. I have never posted a video of something so personal ever. Feeling pretty exposed and vulnerable.

    Oh, boy.
Guys, you're forgetting that marijuana is used medically in many states, and is used to treat many chronic pain problems as well as an assortment of medical issues/diseases.
Please educate yourselves and get out of the dark ages.
Many, many people who you never would suspect use marijuana do. I'm one of them. I've got two degrees, run two of my own businesses, and have debilitating chronic pain issues that I *might* wish on my worst enemy but certainly not anyone else. I've been a stoner for many years, and have been using it to treat chronic pain issues (metal rod fused in my spine) for several years. I'm grateful it's an option. You don't just have to smoke it-you can vape, do edibles, use a tincture drop under your tongue.
I'm 7 years out with my LapBand, and don't have much of an appetite these days. It actually helps me eat. It helps me sleep. It helps with so many things, and I wish people would stop being so closed minded about it because they're not educated about it.
I'm not sure I would recommend it on a regular basis as a new bariatric patient, because of munchies, that I will agree on. You're trying to learn new habits over years of developed bad habits, and I could see that as being detrimental in some cases, but certainly not all.
Once a week is not a frequent user. Not a bit.
If it helps you relax, and you can retain control over the munchies, you go right ahead.

sunflowerchild reacted to CheleLynn45 in I survived my first vacation post op, and felt fairly normal...... =)
My husband, 16 yr old daughter and my mom flew from Tucson to California to go to Disneyland over my daughters spring break, we just got home yesterday. This morning I get up and get on the scale to find I am down 2lbs and loving life.
When we booked this vacation I was only two months post op and wondering how I would handle the challenges I might face being away from my routine and home. Well at 5 months and two weeks out I was fine, absolutely fine.
A few NSV's I celebrated along the way, (1.) I fit in the airplane seat NO extender needed, no oozing onto the person next to me (2.) was able to use my own tray table, laid down flat and didn't rest on my belly at all (3.) walked and walked and walked for four days straight, clocking an average of 20,000 to 22,000 steps daily, with no foot pain (4.) fit on every ride I went on (5.) wore a matching shirt with my daughter one day (will post a pic) and the family another day, was never able to do this because of my size (5.) wore a sleeveless top one day and shorts another day and was comfortable in both
I planned ahead and brought my unflavored Protein for my morning Decaf tea and my Quest bars for one meal during the day to make sure to get in my protein everyday. I was able to find options for meals without any trouble. Had a few bites of treats here and there. I made sure to get enough liquids in also, it was in the 90's a few days we were there.
Overall we had a blast and I was okay, realize this is my new normal and I like it. I was so happy also that when I got up this morning after being gone for 6 days I had lost 2 pounds. Woo Hoo! I think all the walking helped a lot.
So just remember this new way of life is doable, I didn't feel restricted at all. With planning ahead and being prepared I successfully had a wonderful vacation!!!
I have to apologize in advance for my pics being on their sides, they look the right way on my computer but then when I attach them to my post they always go sideways??

I actually was given this same thing my my NUT. The greatest part is the nasal b-12 because it's only once a week and apparently is absorbed better than when taken in sublingual form. It's also so nice not to have to think about it, they will just send it to you and that way you never run out. I will say that I did not like the multivitamin and continue to take Flinstones but I think the $20 is worth it just for the B12.

I had my VSG June 2013. My highest recorded weight was 245 lbs. Height: 4,11"
I'm pleased with my progress so far. I've been maintaining my weight for nearly a year now. I've adopted a lifestyle that I never thought I would. I eat clean & I'm in love with the gym. I workout most days of the week- focusing on weight training. Although I've seen myself pack on a nice bit of muscle, I'm not where I want to be. I'm very interested in hiring a coach to help with my diet plan & training routine. I'm a little nervous about that bc I'll have to explain this surgery to him. I know a lot of people in the fitness industry have a very negative view of ppl who've had wls (such a shame). Anyway, I'm just struggling to be the best physical version on myself.
Skin? ... Most of that little belly you see below is skin. I just kind of tuck it away. I'm wanting a Tummy Tuck so bad! I just wish it were out the way! lol. I have to wear compressions when exercising. I'm looking forward to when I don't have to... And maybe I can even see a little muscle definition? (Also some looseness under my arms & inner thighs)
If anyone wants to follow on IG (it's mostly gym selfies & food pics), tell me your name so I can follow back! I am MISTY_MARIE87
