  1. Not sure about what's "typical" but so far I stalled at months 4, 6, and 7ish.
  2. I use flinstones complete
  3. Why not try making your own Popsicles with unflavored protein powder added? Or a strawberry flavored powder with a lemon flavored popsicle? I had problems with the consistency of the protein shakes in the beginning so maybe in Popsicle form you will be able to tolerate it better. Another thing you could try is the Unjury chicken broth. This is a good option if you're sick of the sweetness of the protein shakes.
  4. I wasn't allowed anything except for those mouth swabs for 24 hrs following surgery. They let me swish water in my mouth after a lot of convincing on my part but that was it. No ice chips or gum or anything like that.
  5. I lost 1/2 a size in my shoes and started off with pretty narrow feet.
  6. For me it just felt sore like I had done a bunch of sit-ups
  7. I am currently on depo and have been since January 2012. I haven't had my period since then so really what's there not to like. I may have gained weight because of the depo but I honestly never blamed the depo I just figured it was me. Try searching "depo" among existing forums for some more feedback.
  8. 3 months out I was averaging about 600-700 but my doctor wanted me to be taking in closer to 1,000. I think this is one of those things that can be pretty individualized based on your bmi and how quickly your losing and some other factors
  9. My favorite flavors are strawberry cheesecake and double chocolate chunk. I also like their protein chips in the cheddar and sour cream and onion flavors.
  10. I get them from vitamin shoppe
  11. I had very thick hair so my hair would always fall out but it felt like pretty sudden that I noticed it falling out a lot. Every time i would brush my hair the entire brush would be filled with my hair. It was out of control. I cut off 12 inches after dealing with it for a month or 2 and then it seemed to get a lot better. Now I have more of an average amount of hair so it didn't wind up turning out too bad for me.
  12. Quest protein chips. My favorite flavors are the cheddar and the sour cream and onion. 21 grams of protein per bag.
  13. Unjury makes a chicken broth that you could try.
  14. I think the hair loss lasted about 6 weeks for me. Edit to add: my hair still falls out now but the really drastic period of hair loss where it was like clumps of hair lasted like 6 weeks
  15. Have you passed the psychological exam yet? Edit to add: the doc may be able to provide insight into it the surgery would be doable for you with your eating habits
  16. Also, not sure if you are familiar with Quest products, but they post recipes on their site. I saw one the other day for some kind of red velvet dessert.
  17. Someone posted a recipe for Valentines Cheesecake on the board a couple weeks ago. This might be a good substitute? Do a search in the forums for "valentine cheesecake" and you should find it.
  18. I had my initial meeting in late May and was sleeved a little over 2 months later. The requirements were psych consult, a few nutrition consults, sleep study, and an endoscopy. I had an endoscopy within the last year so I didn't have to redo that. I was waived from the sleep study because of my health history, neck circumference, and relatively low BMI. So that left the psych and nutrition which I completed in the two months leading up to surgery. In summary it isn't unheard of to have a soon surgery date when you don't have a bunch of insurance requirements. Best of luck!
  19. 19 days post op without any BM is too long in my opinion. I had surgery on a Tuesday and my dr said If I hadn't gone by Saturday that I should take something to get things moving. There's a chance your bowels might be impacted at this point. You should let your doc know that you still haven't gone ASAP.
  20. Never heard of this. I have flown post op with no problems. I would clarify and get a second medical opinion if necessary.
  21. I have Aetna as well. Was approved with a bmi of 35 and 1 co morbidity (GERD). There are tons of different kinds of Aetna so one kind might approve you while another kind may not.
  22. Bras have been spoken for!
  23. Free 36DD bras I would just ask you pay shipping. I have a few from Victoria's secrets and a couple other brands like Bali. Let me know if you're interested. Fun patterns/colors.
  24. Soma I like their Embraceable Full Coverage bras.
  25. I've recently discovered thinkThin high protein bars. 20 grams of protein and 0 grams of sugar. I would definitely order these on a reoccurring basis.
