Best (unflavored) protein powder
Nylaj replied to Skywalker's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
GENEPRO is a lifesaver for me. I can have one cup of coffee so for Breakfast, I drink my coffee & 1 scoop of Genepro. 30g of Protein. Then if I am not that hungry, I will do another scoop later in a yogurt or something. It has no flavor. It mixes well if you follow directions. -

Mine was on Sept 16th. But you should have some guidelines from your Doctor. Every Doctor is different. Some might want you on full liquids still. Some might let you do pureed, but eat anything you want. Follow that 'cause I don't wanna give you bad advice.

I am at a loss. On Tuesday, I can start 'soft foods', but it doesn't really explain what soft foods are. Everything it gave as an example looks like pureed. Can you give me some recipes or what you ate for soft foods? Can I eat meat now like ground meat/turkey? I am already eating chicken/fish mashed up. I guess now I don't have to mash it up/puree it? Any guidance into this would be amazing! Thank you in advance!

Thoughts on Sugar free ice cream?
Nylaj replied to Pillar2butterfly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
sugar free ice-cream is on my list that is okay, but it states to check the fat & calories. I always eat sugar free Popsicles. -
I mixed it with my tuna fish once. It was okay that way. Not sure if you can have raw veggies yet, but it is great with baby carrots, cauliflower, & broccoli.

I take Miralax daily & I put Fiber powder into my drinks, food, & etc.. It has no flavor so you won't notice it. You can drink or eat with it. Both of those help me go almost daily. If you start going too much, back off & do every other day or something. I had surgery on Sept 16, 2015. I done went at least 10 times since due to this mixture. It helps.

Child's portion card?
Nylaj replied to MrsKarenC2008's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My Doctor gave me one. A lot of restaurants honor it. It's not just for ordering from kids menu. Some give you less food with the smaller price. -
Your head can you make you think a lot of things. Protein gets rid of hunger. Also, your head can make you think your stomach is hungry when in reality, you aren't.

37lbs is a lot. Not sure why you want to lose so fast. Slow is great.
-
I add fiber powder to drinks & food. I had surgery on Sept 16, 2015 & already went twice. I'm also taking miralax every other day.
-
I am going to try the patch. It will be a lot easier on me.

I don't have a scale. I'm worried about not getting enough Protein a day. So I can have a few shakes with Water?

I was told I could have 'mushy' peas. Do you eat red/white Beans still on Monday, but with no rice? Try putting it over mashed potatoes. I know it sounds crazy, but I did that in Louisiana a lot 'cause I am not crazy about rice. It tasted good. I made cajun potatoes. Yummmm. Glad I moved away 'cause I don't know what I would do when crawfish season hits. I guess when I am back down there in a few months, I will have to find out how I will eat all that great food.
