Really? I have never bought those syrups but I know many ppl swear by them. Do you have any ore-made protein drinks that you love that are at least 20 g of protein? I prefer over 30g though. I know a lot of ppl like the Costco brand but I think it's too sweet and chalky.

OMG.... I just bought those at walmart yesterday. I have been curious about them for over a year but I never saw them in any store until now. Good to know they are good.

    Meds.

I was told to crush my pills (I take 2) and they crushed one for me in the hospital and put it in Water.... and it was horrible. Now I put them in yogurt or pudding and let them soften and then swallow it like a little bite. It works but my pills are tiny.

That sucks... My surgeon says that if you smoke, you might as well not get the surgery at all. I didn't have to get tested or anything (I don't smoke) but is this normal practice for your surgeon?

I guess it depends on who you know. Most strangers wouldn't buy opened containers/bags. I didn't buy much before surgery because I read about too many ppl not liking it or being sick of drinking it. The powders are way too thick to me now and that makes them hard to drink. So I will have to stick to the ready-to-drink stuff.

I'm the same... Down 8 pounds but I feel like it should have been more. I keep telling myself not to panic because I have read all about this but it's hard.

Same here on the crystal light.... I also drink hot and iced tea. I feel like I can drink everything pretty easily but as soon as I take a sip of water.... I feel crappy. I start burping with the smallest sip. It just makes me feel horrible.

Welcome... We have been a pretty lucky bunch so far. How are you? What has your journey been like so far? How are you tolerating drinks/food?

Yes... I love cottage cheese of course I prefer it with pineapple or in a lasagna. LOL A lot of people do puréed tuna but I don't eat tuna. I can't see myself eating mashed up chicken lookin like someone else already chewed it for me. I saw on here where someone does puréed meats with BBQ sauce and cheese and other sauces but that doesn't sound too great to me either. Besides... I don't want to cover my meats in cheese to be able to consume them.

Oh... I forgot about puréed meats... That's not gonna happen though. YUCK!

Yes they did for sure.... I love soups but it's nice to get some new stuff in the mix. I can also have cottage cheese, refried beans and soft cheese wedges like skinny cow. I am very happy about this stage. It also says that after experimenting with those for a few days.... I can try some soft veggies.

I just had my first experience with soft foods.... I made a scrambled egg. I am so happy to report that not only do I still like eggs.... I can also tolerate scrambled eggs!!!! Yay Just one egg was extremely filling, I wouldn't have room for anything else if I wanted it.

I have not had any issues in that dept. the first 4 days.,. I had no desire to go but it could have been that I wasn't able to drink for 48 hours post-op. On the fifth day i went and have been fine without the need for any type of aid. Thank goodness.

I love pure protein... I drink cookies and cream and banana. I just do the cans because they are very smooth and not overly sweet. I love the pure protein doesn't have a lot of sugar or carbs.

    Struggling

I drink most of my Protein early in the day. I put mocha Protein powder in my decaf coffee for a nice frappe like drink and I also drink a Protein shake mid morning....that helps me get in 60g of protein before lunch and any more is a bonus. I usually have greet yogurt later towards the evening and you can get 12g of protein out of chobani. I have also read about others getting protein powders that are more like crystal light.... Maybe you would tolerate something like that better. I bought that GENEPRO people were talking about and it really is tasteless... The scoops are tiny and you can add it to anything.
