    Too much for me

I have been the same way with water! I live on crystal light lemonade now.

    Clothing size

Size 30 pants, now in a 24, but only a few more pounds until 22. Was wearing 4x shirts that were usually big on me because I hate anything clingy and should proably be in a 1x/2x now but need to do some shopping for some new stuff now that spring is here! Was able to get away with baggy up til now, recently I look ridiculous! LOL

    Nothing tastes good anymore!

My tastes have definitely changed. Even simple things like plain Water or milk taste horrible to me. I drink a lot of Crystal Lite and skip milk for the most part. I have taken to using Lactaid for protien shakes, milk was making me nauseous.
  4. I will be 6 months post op on the 10th. HW was 395, day of surgery 385 and now I am 284! I have been bad about regular exercise and I am really noticing where I need to start toning. I have had some slow weeks where I am only losing 1 pound, but for the most part I lose between 2-5 per week.

No longer living on 300lb Blvd.

Congrats! I just hit that goal recently myself and now have hit a bit of a stall. I need 3 pounds to hit to 100 lbs lost mark and am itching to get there!
  6. My protein powder that was recommended by the nutritionist is made with stevia.
  7. My surgery is November 10th. Up until this past week I was scheduled for a sleeve. When I went to my pre op appointment with my surgeon he informed me that my endoscopy showed I have Barrett's esophagus and I should do bypass instead! Now I am trying to find more info on byapss as far as post op diet etc. I was totally prepared for the sleeve and I was wondering how much of a dufference there is post op??

    Catheter during surgery

I had one after I gave birth to my son and it wasn't bad. Was having trouble going after and they used it to get things going. As for the surgery, my dr said he wouldn't be using one because the surgery doens't take that long.

    Where are the November Sleevers?

That's how I feel! Told my family it looks like it will be pureed turkey for me this year!
  11. Got the call today to set up my date...Novemeber 10th! 2 hours later she called back to tell me I was approved! Amazingly fast! Next step is my final appointment with the surgeon for last minute questions and weigh in, followed by pre op tests. Then on the 6th I have a nutrition class for post op diet. Time to start that countdown!

  14. I use Jay Robb. 25g Protein, 0 fat, 0 sugar, 1g carb. They are delicious!
  15. So I had my last clearance appointment a week ago. Called the surgeon's office and spoke with the coordinator and apparently they are still missing my gastro/endoscopy report, my psych clearance, and my letter from my primary. She was putting in calls to get them, hopefully they will be quick about it! Other than the letter, which I called and requested weeks ago, the other 2 reports were the last 2 that I just had, so I am trying to be patient but it is so HARD! She said as soon as they get them, I will get a call to set up my date! Fingers crossed!!

    Trying to be patient!

@RJ'S/beginning I am definitely researching stuff! I lurk and read a LOT here and have read over my packets from the NUT several times. Originally my EGD was scheduled for November 19th, but they had a cancellation and I got in on 10/8, so I know I should just be grateful I am at this point. I am just looking forward to starting my new life!
  17. So today was my first appointment at the surgeon's office. It went really well and if all goes smoothly with my clearances, I could be having my sleeve done in 2 months! I need to make appointments with a cardiologist, pulmonologist, psych, get an endoscopy, and bloodwork. I am required to have 2 nutritionist appointments and attend 1 support group meeting. After all the clearances come in, they will submit and I have to attend a class on learning post op nutrition and Vitamins and will get my date! With all that going on, I am hoping time will just fly by!

    Why hide it?

I have my first appointment to get the ball rolling on Tuesday. I have only talked to my husband about it, and 1 coworker that I am fairly close with. After I get more info I will begin to tell my family. I haven't decided if I will tell more coworkers. 4 people in my office had the lap-band and after initially losing, gained it all back. And I have heard the way people gossip about them behind their back, so I would like to spare the drama, at least for a while. I am sure it will come out eventually, but by then I won't care.
  19. Newbie here! First appointment to get the ball rolling is Tuesday. At the info seminar I attended they said we would need a psych appointment, and for some reason this make me the most nervous out of all the tests I know I will need to have done pre-op!
  20. Hi there! I attended an info seminar onthe 17th and my first consultation appointment is next week, August 5th! Nervous but excited at the same time!
