So today was my first appointment at the surgeon's office. It went really well and if all goes smoothly with my clearances, I could be having my sleeve done in 2 months! I need to make appointments with a cardiologist, pulmonologist, psych, get an endoscopy, and bloodwork. I am required to have 2 nutritionist appointments and attend 1 support group meeting. After all the clearances come in, they will submit and I have to attend a class on learning post op nutrition and Vitamins and will get my date! With all that going on, I am hoping time will just fly by!

Hi everyone I had my first appointment with the surgeons office August 5,2014.He wanted to know why I did not come in sooner. He said I was a poster child.I am 214,bmI 38 with sleep apnea, high blood pressure, asthma, and newly discovered diabetes type 2.I have my psych eval Sept.10th.I already had my 1st nutrition appointment when the surgeon. My insurance wants 3 months with the nutrition, psych, endocronologist, sleep study which I already have done because I have a cpap, and blood work done.I also need my medical recorde to show that I am not newly fat.The medical necessity letter from my primary might be hard. The reason because I changed primaries from the one I have been going to for a long time because of an issue that happened,The new one I ow I have been only going for a little while.I know I can get my medical records from my old doctor to show that I have been obese with co-morbidities for a long time. But I am worried about the letter. My surgeon is in my network.I have aarp medicare united healthcare.I am so worried that I am not going to be approved.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
