1 month stall 3 months out
I'd also like to know the answer to this, because I'm 3 mos post op and have been stalled at 290 - 292 for the past 3 weeks now. I'm trying to increase my fluids to break the stall.

Long term slow loser results?
I'm also stalling, and I'm 3 months post op. I've been stalled at 290 - 292 for almost 3 weeks now and getting very frustrated because I still have way more to lose. I'm going to try to increase my water from 71 oz to 100 oz and do 2 protein shakes and see if that helps get the scale moving.

What you mean it's not a huge difference? I can totally tell you've lost weight. You are doing an amazing job, especially at 7 and 1/2 weeks out. Way to go!!!

My worst fear
Thank you all for the words of encouragement, I'm going back to see my therapist next month to deal with head hunger, but I'm also going to discuss these fears with her to see how I can learn how to cope.

My worst fear
Sometimes I think to myself what if this isn't going to work for me. Granted I'm glad to have lost 50 lbs in 3 months, what if that's it? I keep hovering between 290 and 292. Now I know what your gonna say, "You're doing fine, stick to the program, stalls happen, etc, but I can't help but feeling like I'm not going to lose all the weight. I find myself obsessed with others success stories, and dreaming that one day I'll have a success story of my own. I spend 90% of my day looking at before and after pictures wondering if I'm ever gonna be as small as the rest of you veterans. To be able to enjoy shopping, finally being noticed by the opposite sex, and not being treated like I'm not good enough. I couldn't wait to get out of the 300s, but even being 292, I'm still way too close to it. Does anyone else have or had these fears during this journey?

3 months
Hi, I'm also 3 months post op, surgery 4/8, and have lost a total of 50 lbs. I hope the next 50 lbs comes of by my sixth month, because I totally hate the stalls.

Snacks or no snacks, I'm confused
Well I had RNY and I notice that when I snack between meals I stall or even gain, so I try not to snack between meals and if I want a snack I'll grab a protein drink and/or water.

Insurance denial 4 more months
Wow, what a story. I'm sorry you had to go through that. It seems like when we want something so bad, something else tries to get in the way. I applaud you for not taking any of this lying down and taking it upon yourself to look further into it. How are they gonna have someone consult and evaluate you who isn't even registered with them? What was that a practice run, lol? I would have been livid. I'm hoping everything goes better for you from here on out.

I'm so sick of water
@@Cody's mom, I've also been getting dizzy spells lately. Do you really think they come from th water? I talked to my doc about it and he believes that it's because I'm not drinking enough water, but I'm getting a little over 70 ounces a day.

(LADIES ONLY) TMI
Does anybody else stall or gain when it's that time of the month? Because that's what is happening to me right now.

Benefits of losing weight slower than expected
At least 65 lbs in 3 months. They have high expectations.

Benefits of losing weight slower than expected
It depends on where you started from @@Babbs, because my sw 342, 4/8/15. You probably started a lot lower which explains your slower weight loss...lol

Benefits of losing weight slower than expected
I'm also a slow loser. I only lost 50 lbs in 3 months. It concerned me until I read your list. It encouraged me to believe that even though I'm losing my weight slower than others, the point is I'm losing the weight. So actually I'm winning. We are all winning here.

3 weeks out and struggling - need advice
Unfortunately you are going through the 3 week stall. Your body is going through a resting phase. I guarantee that one day you'll get on the scale and you'll drop like 5 lbs, because that's what happened to me. I hate stalls, but I guarantee you're losing inches though, even if the scale isn't moving. Hang in there your doing great. 19 lbs is awesome!

I'm so sick of water
Believe me when I say I appreciate all of your advice. If I didn't I would never post. I'm only 3 mos post op so of course there is a lot to learn. But please keep in mind that we all come here to vent. We all struggle from time to time. That is why I get offended when some say that this is the easy way out, because it is far from easy. Just like alcoholics still attend meetings to overcome their addiction, I come here for reassurance. I have no doubt in my mind that I can do this, hell, I believe we all can if we work hard enough for it. As I stated many times this is where I get all of my support from. The reason I'm saying this is to remind everyone here that we look for support not to be shamed or brow beaten. We all know the consequences of our actions, and posting here helps me cope. That is all!

I'm so sick of water
No I'm not offended by what you're telling me. Half of the time, when I post, I'm just venting as we all do. I know that soda and liquor is bad, and haven't cheated with either of those. That's why I asked for alternatives to Water. I was never told about sparkling water, so I asked you all what you thought. Trust me when I tell you that I didn't come this way for nothing. I'm taking this very seriously, but I'm also only human too. I became obese because of the bad choices I made regarding food and beverages. So occasionally my mind slips back into old habits, thus, craving the forbidden. As you all have stated many times, we didn't get this way over night, so just because we had this surgery it doesn't mean that poof all of your impure thoughts on junk food are magically cured. This is just my way of working through all of that by venting to you all.
