HELP DAY 6 POST OP SLEEVE
Check the sugar grams, if it has more than 5 grams of sugar, stay away. Look up the symptoms of dumping, and that could be your problem.. Look for Protein shakes that have around 20g of protein per shake and less than 5 g of sugar, and low, low carbs.. That might help. I think slimfasts are primarily sugar drinks. Good luck!

HELP DAY 6 POST OP SLEEVE
Just remember to look at the sugar content of slimfast shakes, I think they're pretty high. I don't know if high sugar can cause dumping, but just be careful.

Help Please! Sleeve in Mexico?
I think your doctor is a cash grabbing ass! Maybe just a little jealous he's not as qualified as the Mexican doctors. Jealousy can be an evil thing on some people!

Dr. Ariel Ortiz at the OCC
I'm off to Dr. E. Ortiz Sept 14, and he's two nights in the hospital/clinic, and two nights in the hotel. I'm a 35 BMI, and started thinking abou this when I was a 33 BMI and wish I would have done it before I gained an extra 45 pounds. I'm going alone, and I'm from Alberta, Canada. Good luck with your decission.

Protein Intake
Three protien shakes a day is 60 g, then eat your meat for the added grams, and drink, drink, drink your water!

Yep, just hoping these soup bowls turn to little tea cups once I'm close to my goal, or guess what, they too are going to be "sleeved" (in a differnt kinda way)! I completely understand, I too can't imagine who's bra it is on the floor, then think yep that's mine with the back extender and the two enormous bolderholders!

Lap-Band to Sleeve
Not that this is really a deciding factor, but this surgery and all related costs should be income tax deductable in both Canada and the US.
-
Lap-Band to Sleeve
I've read on here somewhere about many people going to Mexico and having a doctor to go to when they return, and many from the US. If worse come to worse, if you need advice, just go to the emergency everytime you ahve a question, they might then offer you a doctor to run to when you need advice or concerns.

Lap-Band to Sleeve
Why won't a local doctor help you if you went to Mexico for surgery? I'm from Canada, and when I told my doctor I was going to Tijuana all she said was make sure you come see me when you return for follow up and request your records to bring back. Most Doctors won't like that you're going else where, but it seems unprofessional to deny you help when you return.

No Protein
A glass of milk has 6 or 7 grams of Protein in it, you should be having 60g a day of protein at least, and 64 oz of Water.. I would really check with your doctor to make sure you're properly supplying your body with all that it needs.

Tijuana here I come!
We'll find each other and go for a cup of broth and a walk, looking forward to it (with Jane as well).

Am I too old?
@@#9grammy I'm a self pay going to Tijuana Mexico to have it done on my own, so I didn't have to do any tests, all will be done when I arrive there. I've been walking about 15 minutes a night and try do do it a few time during the day just to get myself prepared. It's not easy when your feet hurt, back aches and can't breath, but it's a start.

New on here. Surgery is on for tomorrow morning.
@itsjuan please let us know how your surgery goes. The pre-op diet I think is to make sure you don;t have a fatty liver which can get in the way, you might not have had one. Never the less, it does give you a head start I think for what lies ahead for the next month or two.. Good luck with your surgery!
