so true. self sabatage and becoming complacent or even babying ourselves is waaaaaay to easy to get back on that destructive path. I have to kick my butt and and do whatever it takes to stay committed .like this reality check! thx for sharing

@blondebomb - Glad you liked the post. I've found the Beck Daily Diet Solutions so on target with the psychological aspects of dieting/weight loss. A medical doctor recommended the book, The Beck Diet Solution, to me over a year ago - it's more than just about the food (available at the public library). Let's face it, we all know what we're supposed to do about the food, but oftentimes it is the mindset that keeps us from achieving our goals to be healthier and to lose weight.

when I got to the root of my emotional eating I realized I had to "change" my internal dialogue and negative habit. it took yrs of phsychotherapy for me then I had the light bulb moment! everything made sense to me and I fought back and never stopped. I was determined to make this work and its taken yrs of seeking professional help along with me doing MY part and I am on cloud 9!!
