Zantac is an H2 blocker. Blocks secretion of acid. Prilosec is a proton pump inhibitor. It stops the production. If you have occasional gastric burn zantac is recommended but if you have Gerd Prilosec is recommended. I would say ask your doctor about it. Zantac gives relief faster than Prilosec because of how they work. However Prilosec stays in your system longer.

I hate to disagree with you, but the weight loss will not be as steady as you describe it. She will not STEADILY lose 2- 2.5 pounds week after week until goal. There's going to be weeks where she loses nothing. Weeks where she may even gain. Weeks where she loses ounces. Weeks where she loses 3 or 4 pounds.
Weight loss, especially with the sleeve, is not Fluid. If you put it to a graph, it will look more like the steps of stairs as opposed to a steady downward slide. Oh, if it could only be that easy!
Anyway, just wanting people to know so nobody thinks they suck at this or are a big failure if the weight doesn't just fall off every week as time goes by. That's not how this works.

Some people don't get that restriction until they are on solid food.If you feel like that it may be best to limit your servings to ¼ - ½ cup per serving. Just remember you aren't broken, you belly just needs denser foods to recognize that it's full.
This helps me alot. I was worried I'd never feel full and I had this surgery for nothing!

Eyhornmom I'm going through the same thing! I had surgery march 27. I have a hard time with liquids! I love to drink Water but it doesn't go down well! I've been making chicken and pork stuff for dinners so I can eat with family.
I've been really moody too even with my antidepressant. From others I have asked this is normal.
I'm also really tired but I figure my body is healing as well as breaking down fat stores so it is working hard.
I think for us it will get better when the sleeve heals from surgery.

All of you look fabulous! I just want to mention to anyone who may be stopping by that is post-op or VERY recently sleeved, please do yourself a favor- TAKE FULL LENGTH PHOTOS! I hadn't found this forum until after I'd already started my journey and NO ONE prior to being sleeved mentioned photos. I have no full-length photos of me at my highest weight and though I'm a freelance photographer, I photograph landscapes and architecture, not people, certainly not myself. So, please keep those cameras handy to document your awesome progress! :)

Good luck! liquid diet is the worst. After you recover, it's all easier from there. I hope your surgery and recovery went well. You should be feeling more like yourself these days
