    August Sleevers Check In

Made it home yesterday and the pain has not been too bad. I would recommend a pillow to put between you and the seat belt for the ride home. I am just walking and getting fluids in.

    August Sleevers Check In

I can't believe my day monday is getting so close. My pre surgery appointment went great and my doctor with happy with my weight loss. I spent yesterday getting my vitamins and medicines together. I just need to get a few food items and pack my bag.
  8. I was told that it it does not matter if your BMI goes under the 40 or 35 number. I was worried about that a few months ago but it should not effect you especially since you were already approved.

    Opinions on protein pasta?

Some of them do not taste so good. I would try spaghetti squash or making other veggies into noodles.
  11. Having my pre-surgery apt. today. So ready for Monday. :)

I can have decaf without a limit. It just has to have skim milk and sf sweeteners.

    Hair loss

Does anyone know if you lose body hair as well? I have been wondering about this one.
  17. I have been snappy, loopy and weepy since I started my liquid diet. It is hard so I empathize with you. Can you have no chunk soup? If so I found that helps to take the edge off. Maybe a support group or therapist could help. Some days are better than others. I also have read that sugar is as addicting as heroine.

    "My special food"

Luckily my husband finds the pre-op food gross. Even my dog does not find it appealing;she no longer begs for food from me. Maybe label your things so they do not go for them.

I am on two week all liquids and this is day 4. Having some g2 helps me if I feel weak. I have also cut back on activities. Keep drinking the fluids that helps me some as well.

    Calling all August Sleevers!

I have not told my family. I would rather tell a perfect stranger than them. It has been a great debate whether or not to tell them. I do not know how they will react or what will happen. They like that I am obese. They have also sabotaged other weight loss attempts. One suggestion was to tell them the night before but I am having doubts about that. Also if I don't tell them now how would they react not have knowing from the get go.

    Body Measurement Tracker?

Myfitnesspal has a phone app. You can track your hips, waist, neck and weight. IT has been helpful to me for tracking my protein and calories. I can't wait for the waist and weight numbers to go down. (I am not sure how to measure my hips since I am all middle. )

    starting to get nervous

I would love to be 140 but the doctor said expect to be about 180. The psychologist said shoot for the doctor's goal first and anything past that is a nice bonus.
