  1. I didn't know about the extra bands. Thanks
  2. Love my fitbit. It pushes me to achieve the goals I want
  3. Peggy, at 600 calories a day I might have to faint and stay in bed
  4. I went to Le Nordik in Chelsea Quebec this weekend. Walking around in my bathing suit all day sure was easier over 20 lbs lighter. I realize I didn't have the body of the bikini clad 20some year olds. This outdoor spa has many pools hot and cold, saunas and steam rooms. Also the steam room didn't bother me like before. I could breath in there!
  5. I sat in a booth this weekend and felt comfortable. I almost let a tear slip out!
  6. I am 6 weeks post op and not allowed a fill until end of September. First available date is Oct 6 in this area. I have 4 cc in my band. I need to watch what I eat until I can get fills. I am healing my body first. Ensuring I drink lots of water and getting in my steps per day. The band is a tool.
  7. Fitbit. It tracks calories, sleep, weight, steps, water etc. I love it. It has helped me be accountable
  8. Went pole walking today. That was the best arm exercise I have ever done
  9. I am usually very open and share things. I kept my surgery a secret. My daughter is a nurse and she didn't want me having any major wls. She doesn't know about the lapband. I talk about my hernia repair and my fitbit and walking. Hopefully have something to show off when she gets here for Christmas
  10. 4 felt totally normal by 6 weeks. Down over 20 lbs and feeling fantastic. Ready for my journey. Hopefully I can get my first fill Oct 6
  11. I don't know why you need a special bra for the breast reduction. I wore a normal one. My friend that just had hers used an exercise bra
  12. Don't wonder what more you could have done; do it now. The I could have or I should have's will always be there. This is a life journey and 50 pounds down is fantastic.
  13. Glad you are back on track. Nothing tastes as good as thin feels
  14. A very small surgery. I was feeling great after a few days and no more pain
  15. Toning as you go. A variety of exercise and walking
  16. I never was a pizza lover. Two of the dances I attend once a month serve pizza at 11:00. I get it and give it away or if I am hungry, I eat the toping
  17. August 13 for me. Working on Work/Life Balance
  18. Costco's pure protein bars yummy
  19. I need some chewables. They taste bad crushed.
  20. Liquid protein drink is my go to for a quick meal.
  21. I fully realize now that there are a lot of jealous people that would gladly sabotage my journey. My mother being my worst critic. She has always put me down. Now that she has gained weight, she is very scared of me weighing less than her. My solution is to discuss anything with her accept weight. She knows I will change the subject. I visited two days in a row with a totally new hair do which was very flattering and she refused to notice. I am doing this for me and not her.
  22. I had stopped riding my bike in the last few years. I will enjoy it again one day!
  23. Getting clothes on to go out dancing on the weekend and finding out you have to change as everything is getting loose is fun. Having more stamina is fantastic.
  24. Ii am 6 weeks banded and it will be I to ER before I get a fill. You have to be very careful to follow portion size now. The band is a Tool, we still need to do work. I have used my walking. Make sure to drink my water and take the stairs when I can. My core body feels much stronger and I have lost 2 sizes in clothes. I have not had a huge weight loss but I feel this is a change of life journey and a work in progress
  25. I cannot have a fill before October. Sooo looking forward to it
