This may not be the correct answer... but I saw a tv show once about lipsuction... and they were doing the procedure on teenage girls (who did NOT have a weight problem) on their... ummm neither region. So that they would look better in a bikini.... Their, "camel toe" as they were calling it. This I think to be the height of foolish vanity. And approved of and paid for by the parents!!!!! That area does contain a large fat pad and that can shrink and leave loose skin behind like any other area of the body..... I suppose you can have plastic surgery done on any part of your anatomy you like!

Songs that I Love through this Crazy Journey!
Miaoreo replied to cherbear33's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
The only song lyric that keeps going thru my head right now (9 days pre surgery). Is Merle Haggards " Are the Good Times Really Over" especially the line; Are we rolling down hill Like a snowball headed for Hell? -

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
Miaoreo replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
*Knees and ankles and back in constant pain when I try to walk *High blood pressure and taking the awful meds for it *Feeling like the bones in my feet are going to break when I first step on them in the morning *Trying to squeeze past people and either my belly or butt rubs on them * Asking for a seat belt extender on the plane *Not being able to sit in a restaurant booth. *Having sleep apnea and wearing a cpap * HATEING to go shopping for clothing. *Not going to an amusement park because I know I cannot fit on the rides. * Not allowing myself to be photographed the list goes on and on.. but the worst thing was when we went camping last Memorial day weekend. We went with friends who brought horses, it was a horse camp. They talked me into going for a ride, I rode all the time as a teen, but hadn't ridden for years. It literally took 3 people to get me up on that poor horse. I was so embarrassed, I felt like a big bowling ball balanced up there. Then someone took my picture. The whole scenerio of people who love me making a special effort to allow me to participate was more that I could bear. Why couldn't I be healthy enough to get on a horse by myself? Why do my loved ones have to make a special effort for me, just because I am FAT. Now I know this doesn't sound as emotional or as traumatic as some other stories, but this type of thing has been going on for years.. It was the last straw, I am going to be 60 next month and I don't plan on spending the rest of my life as a cripple. -
I too would be curious... my Doctor says no NSAIDs for the 2 week pre-op diet.... I have had multiple broken bones, have no cartilage in one ankle and one knee.. Pain at times is excruciating. Tylenol is a joke. My greatest wish for weight loss is to lessen my joint pain.

August Sleevers Check In
Miaoreo replied to Sweet Pea STL Sleever's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
New here... been lurking for a while... I am scheduled for Aug 7th or 8th.. at Blossom Bariatrics in Las Vegas... Will be flying in the week before, I have family in Vegas and my brother had the same surgery in March with Dr. Umbaugh. I had been considering some sort of bariatric procedure for years, but never had the courage to do it until my brother went ahead. So hope to see some of you there.
