    TIME OFF

I had my surgery last Thursday and I could have gone back to work or school today. I've had little pain, and haven't used any pain medication at all. I'm sure there are others who have had a lot different experience. Everyone is so different, and every surgeon is different so it's hard to tell how you will feel.

    BCBS MI

I have BC/BS MI PPO and saw my surgeon last Tuesday and they scheduled my surgery for Oct 9. They sent in my insurance papers after the apt, and I had call yesterday from their office telling me what my co-pay would be. I asked her if I was approved and she said "of course," like why wouldn't I be. I was surprised because I thought that someone would call and tell me that I was approved.

    New Food For Post Ops...

Could you please send me a copy too? akonik@att.net Thanks so much. I need all the help I can get. LOL
  6. Mythreeloves that really stinks. I know I was shocked when psych told me that she passes less than 50 percent of people on the first time. She said that most people have things that they have to work on before they pass. I would call every day to see if someone cancels an apt. to see if you could get in earlier. Did they tell you what exactly you need to do? I'm sure it's very frustrating, but they just want to be sure that you are totally ready for the new lifestyle.
  7. Mythreeloves, I'm going to hopefully complete my 6 mo diet for BC/BS next Monday at Beaumont also. I am so excited. I also have had a hard time giving up Diet Coke. I used to drink about a 2L a day and now I only have it occasionally when we are out. I am trying to decrease my portion sizes and not drink with my meals. Working great so far. Hopefully we will have surgery about the same time.
