  1. Sleeved 12/23. My surgeon has coffee on her liquids lists. Only restriction is limit to 16 oz. Had decaf the first week post-op then switched to one cup of regular in the morning. No problems. Call your nutritionist or surgeon and ask for their guidelines.
  2. No, only one sleeve done 12/23. Second colonoscopy first done 5+ years ago. Sorry for the confusion. I understand your concern about allowing the option of treats, though and know that is one of the challenges that I will face with the sleeve.
  3. Decided to have one though not required by my doctor. At 62 I was overdue for my follow up so now I am good for several years ????. As someone pointed out the prep is the biggest inconvenience and with my new sleeve that would be problematic for awhile. Honestly the colonoscopy itself in this day and age is easy peasy... no pain and done in minutes. We went to the diner on our way home ????
  4. I had complications with my C-section, an infected incision that was open for 2 months. That was rough! Sleeved on 12/23 but so far it has been very easy in comparison. On the other hand I also had 2 knee replacement surgeries... Sleeve is a walk in the park in comparison!
  5. I think it was about 2 weeks. I actually got the insurance letter over the weekend and called my surgeons office on Monday. They may have known a few days before me, though.
  6. Name--Debbie Jean Age--62 Location--NJ Date of Surgery--12/23/14 Weight Lost Since Surgery--6.1 Current Weight--229.6 Weight Loss Goal for January--215 New Years Resolution--start going to the gym
  7. I drove 4 days after surgery. My doctor said that I just needed to be off pain meds which I was.
  8. I had a catheter which was removed the morning following the surgery. No need for assistance either before or after.
  9. Regular coffee was on my list at discharge for full liquids. Only restriction was no more than 16 oz per day. I'm a week out and have been making coffee shakes with vanilla or chocolate protein powder. Yummy! I've only used decaf though. Figure I'll wait before I bring out the "heavy artillery" LOL
  10. Sleeved 12/23 and doing great! sleeping well and feeling good. No problems sipping though I do think I've burped more in the last week than the previous 62 years of my life LOL. The worst is having to crush my meds YUCK! Came home off my diabetes medications though and haven't had to restart them. Test 3 times each day and haven't hit 100 yet Tomorrow I start puréed. Don't know that I've ever looked forward to having an egg so much! ????
  11. That's 5' 0" !! I just want to repeat it. I'm also a shorty. Asking whether 50 qualifies for WLS is meaningless unless you know someone's height! I laugh when all these 5'5" ladies object to people having WLS with "only" 50 lbs to lose. Well yeah if I was 5'5" I wouldn't think it was such an issue either. But at 5'0" it a totally different story. BMI of 35 not including comorbidities. I was just sleeved. BMI of nearly 50. I wish I had done it when I had "only 50 " lbs to lose along with diabetes sleep apnea HBP etc
  12. Take it sloooowly and don't try to rush it. Hopefully as the days pass your totals will increase. ((((BIG HUG)))) ☺ ️I got in a protein shake yesterday but need to work on the water today ????
  13. Oh no now is so not the time to get a cold!! ???? I'm having gas issues too and the tummy is tender. Slept very poorly last night. Just couldn't get comfortable ????I'll probably nap of and on today Still all in all not feeling too badly considering this is major surgery. Got a Protein shake down without any issues though the crushed pills were disgusting lol. Got to start working on the Water. Have a blessed holiday and feel better!

  17. Let the weight loss begin! Lol
  18. Good luck with the liquids! I actually lost 15 lbs when they weighed me right before I went into surgery, most of that from the 2 week preop diet.

  22. Hang in there, girlfriend! Stalls suck ???? It will start moving again!
  23. 11/29 243.6 12/6 248 ???? 12/13 241.2 12/20 237.2 2nd week of presurgical diet.
  24. I'm on day 8 and have been eating my lean & green meal for lunch as well. I find it gets me through the day better. In the evening I'm satisfied with a protein shake and Greek yogurt.
