    JULY 2014 SLEEVERS GROUP

@@n0ble199 Wow you look great!! Congrats! Today is my 3 months surgiversary! (Sleeved on 07/07/14) I've lost so far 39 lbs, and today for a tiny NSV -- I went to H&M and bought a cardigan because it's getting colder. I can wear a size M! M!! I almost couldn't believe it. Before I couldn't squeeze in even size XL of this shop and now I'm fit perfectly in a size M (not even tight!). It's a good day, wish you guys all the best!

    Food melt down

You will be able to eat solid food again in a few weeks (depends on your doctor's instructions) just hang in there. I also had this kind of moments but I alreaddy committed to this process so I had to do what I was supposed to do. I hated the pureed period, full liquid food was way easier. Thank God I didn't need to eat a lot of those pureed stuff to fill in my tiny pouch. I was not hungry so I just eat at fixed hour to just fill in the stomach for the energy, then I went out for a long walk. I went to bed early as well to accelerate the better tomorrow lol Be brave, try some new food. I remember how some simple new change in my meal made me so happy during the first month post-op. Cheer up!! ✌✌✌

    Biotin

I started losing hair last month (second month post-op) and this month is disaster!!! My hair was thin before and now I'm almost bald! You can see it more obvious when I go to the gym and my head got very sweaty OMG never been this bald in my life!! I saw there're a lot of brands of biotin, could anyone recommend a good one for me please?? Thank you.

    Weight loss noticed by others

Exactly just you wait! in about a month or two, people will start to come to you and ask for your secrets to lose weight! lol I had a sweet colleague giving me a bunch of compliment, she said now I look so healthy and active, even my skin is glowing! Additionally she told me that before how I looked tired and seemed to have difficulty to walk!!! I took that as a compliment but It's kinda sad a little though, didn't reallize how I looked so unhealthy in other people's eyes.

    JULY 2014 SLEEVERS GROUP

Thanks @@mrsscott32 last month I lost 11.22 lbs woohoo!! On the other hand, last week my weight moving down and up back to the same point. I guess my body will take another month to adjust with the new status. It's been so long time I never weight less than 80 kg (around 176 lbs) Now I weight 170 lbs, so I give it time to get a grip and mourn before moving on lol.
  10. Since post-op (I'll be 3 months out in a few days) my doctor prescribed me Omeprozole 20 mg for the acid reflux and It's about to run out tomorrow. There're some nights thatI forgot to take it, the next days I'd be uncomfortable with acid reflux, not too much but still. How long you're on the medicins for acid reflux post op? Do you still get acid reflux without the medicins? Thank you for your reply.

    Dressing?

Not sure if you asked me lol but I'll tell you just for sharing, I go to the gym 5 days a week for L.I.A (Low Impact Aerobic dance) for 1 hours - once a week, Sh'bam 1 hour- twice a weeek, Zumba 1 hour-twice a week, Body Balance (Yoga & pilates) 1 hour -once a week and do some weight lifting as well. Dancing is the only way I can exercise and walking, since post-op I've been walking at liease 1hour and a half everyday. After 1 month that my surgeon cleared me for exercise I started the gym right away.

    Knee injuries?

I suspect that there's something wrong with my knees too but I must have been there since pre WLS, at Christmas last year I got a flash deep pain in the right knee while I ran to catch a bus and by new year I couldn't walk for a few days (doctor said it was knee muscles) but since I lost weight I got less and less pain, still feel some pain during exercise but bearly, until I played badminton once and the pain is back (only when I step down the stairs) and then gone within a week. Now I can dance (5 days a week) and only feel the slight pain when I have to kneel down but most of the time it's fine, I try not to jump though. I hope it will get better when I'm lighter. *fingers crossed*

    always tired and cold

@@JCP The cercle of my period has been changed for almost a year, now I have period every a few months and it comes very little each time. I wonder if I'm about to reach menopause as well but my gynaecologist didn't think so. She asked if I have any hot flash and I don't. My body must be a bit confused now I guess. The first appointment with my surgeon (at 1 month post-op) he asked if I felt cold, I told him that I only feel cold sometimes even when it's warm in the house but I don't feel hot at all except after exercise. Cute kitty, by the way Meoww!

    always tired and cold

I'm about to be 3 months out, a few weeks after surgery I felt freezing cold (in summer) but now I don't feel that cold anymore but I don't feel hot neither. I'm not sure it's because I always keep myself warm or not but I'm not bothered by feeling cold. Now I'm worried if there's something wrong with my body if I don't feel freezing cold like most of the WLS patiets lol When did you start to feel cold?

    Dressing?

*sigh* I'm having the same problem with my closet, before the surgery I was comfortable in size 18 and fitted in size 16, as I've kept some clothes of size 14 so I was fine wearing repeatedly the clothes that fit better on me but then in these couple of weeks it seems like my size dropped quite quickly, some piece of clothes that I could wear last week started to hang off me this week and I still don't want to buy new clothes just yet!!!!! Last Saturday I went into H&M to try some cardigans, I tried on a size L (because I bought some simple casual T-Shirt for sport a couple of weeks ago and I fitted in L) to find out that size L is a bit too big for me now!! This made me discourage to buy new clothes right now, so I ended up didn't buy any. Even the panties now they look like granny pants on me, I bought a cheap panties in size 10-12 and it fitted perfectly. I'm now trying to hold on as long as I can. I think I'll start to buy clothes when I can be comfortable in size 10. Now the shape of my body is not yet in place, still got quite big tummy. I don't want to feel bad if I try on smaller size clothes and can not fit my big belly in them.
  17. Woohoo! Haha you're just like me. I was so darn happy when my weight went down to the point that I was finally LIGHTER than my husband. I think it's been 5-6 years that I could not sit on his lap. Now I'm 11 lbs lighter than him, Yay!!

Goal Weight Achieved - 230 pounds shed

    Beautiful!! Congrats!!
  19. Today the same girl above said called me at the office, I thought she was calling for business but she just called to tell me that I looked terrific as she saw me yesterday in the cafeteria. She said it's not only about the beauty but I looked healthy, even the way I walk was different and more active. She only called to give me compliments. What a lovely girl. Of course she has no clue about my surgery but it's just a very kind of her anyway.

YouTube gurus and natural weight loss

1 year out and in trouble

You can do this!! you''re equipped with the great tool and it's still there. I'm just started the journey not even 3 months ago so let's do this together! Cheers!!!
  22. Definitely not off the topic, it's a plus! hehe I was completely sasitified with the result, apparently he was as well, he proudly told me after seeing the scan result that my stomach was well sealed like it's never been cut! When he came to release me from the hospital I also asked his permission to film him while he was briefing me about the guideline and restrictions. (Oh yeah!)
  23. Haha one time I went to a meeting, and one of the colleagues was naturally a bit naive got so excited when she saw me, it was quite early on when I just lost around 22 lbs, and she couldn't figure out why I looked different so she kept asking "there's something about you that changed!! what is it? there must be something, now you look different" I was kind of disturbed because her reaction drew attention of others in that meeting towards me, but I calmly told her that, "you're right, there's a big change.. I now am a real woman, after the sex change" she laughed so hard and said "seriously?" I said "yeah, I can show you later but gotta warn you, it's not pretty and still swollen" of course she didn't take it seriously but that effectively got her to stop asking. Also my answer made everyone laughed and went back to the agenda of the meeting.
  24. It's not actually a friend but it's the manager of the bank in our organisation who I saw her suddenly shrinked down in a few months, one time we crossed each other on the way back from lunch so I asked her and she was kind enough to reveal her secret weapon (this is the reason if someone who's really suffers from obeisity asks me, I'd tell about my surgery). She didn't actually did the sleeve with my doctor but she heard good things about him so she gave me his contact. I was quite nervous about it so I did the hell of the research before the first appointment with my surgeon and after meeting with him for the first time, I felt so confident in my surgeon, and decided to go for it, plus he's so cute haha.

    NSV shout outs

I'll be 3 months out in a week and today I went to a reception at the embassy, a colleague who I'm not very fond of because of some kind of unpleasant incident when we worked together last year (we saw each other the last time at the Christmas party last year), she didn't evern recognize me today LOL this is great!! I love the WLS more and more everyday!!
