  1. He did to me too. He was very rough in person as far as being firm in whatever it is he says. I didn't care for his bedside manner but i trusted he would do his job and he did for the most part. I had a good recovery and my surgery went on with out any hiccups. i would recommend him based on the fact that he does a good job. but just make sure you do EXACTLY what he has asked you to do so you do not get there and he refuses your surgery.
  2. yes i got my date! it was oct 28th 2015! so i have had it for nearly a year.

    October List of Surgery's

Just want to say Merry Christmas to everybody. I love reading your updates and helpful tips about what you have been able to eat or what you think you should avoid or even about yourself because I've had a few myself and it feels good to know you're not alone. I hope you have a happy and safe New Year as well! I myself have run into only one time something came up and I think it was because I caught the 24 hour stomach flu that was going around in my area. I ended up trying the same thing later on well after I was done being sick and I had no problems. I can't wait till I'm able to go back to the gym in January I've been cleared for exercise but I had my membership put on hold for the surgery and it doesn't start up until January. I think I feel a lot better once I'm able to incorporate exercise into my life style again. I know that when I was going to the gym to lose weight before the surgery after I made it a routine it really became a good part of my life. And so I want to make sure I get back into that.

Thank you, it's hard not to get down about it. I'm staying away from the scales because it's so disheartening, but aside from that the few people who do knew I've had the surgery ask me like clock work " how much do you weight now, well just check, shouldn't you weight less" etc. Etc. It's like being between a rock and a hard place. I know it's just a moment in time, but man this moment sucks. Thank you for your very kind words though, they do help =).

hello every one!!! Just posting a small update. Everything is going well so far, ran into TMI HORRIBLE constipation this past week. got that sorted. Was feeling awful because of it and so i let my journal laps and i need to get back on top of that to make sure i am getting in everything i need to get it. i think i am doing good with my water though i have a pink 8 oz. cup i brought home from the hospital, its cheap and plastic and i love it, and i drink several of those through out the day. Still working on my protein of course but now that i can eat again i think it should be a bit easier to track that as well. Aside from all that i have FINALLY broke my stall and started losing again. The scale stayed still for almost 2 weeks which of course as many of you know is beyond frustrating. SOO that's where i am right now.

It is hard! That was so very sweet of your husband! Hang in there we will eat again. I just keep telling myself this is temporary! Thank you, its is hard to really think about how this is just the first stages when we live our lives day to day and to not live in the moment for some people is really not easy so it can become overwhelming. Food is not everything! lol we are told to understand this and then in the first parts of recovery it consumes your world. not on a " O i have to eat this or that" but even just in the fact that we HAVE To get in our liquids and we HAVE to get in our protrien and we HAVE to make sure we have some carloies coming in or we stall..things like that it just become such a BIG part of life day to day. and a lot of us cant even manage to get in what we need to. SO HANG IN THERE EVERYONE YOU'RE AMAZING AND YOU ARE DOING GOOD. YOU ARE. :-)

had a little cry/frustrated moment. Hubs was making burgers in the kitchen [ i have been avoiding the kitchen and just keeping busy for the most part right now because I just don't want to think about textures and how i have only been on liquid for almost 2 weeks.] and i said " o that smells good ! i am glad you are making yourself something you want to eat" and he said " yea i noticed i have not been wanting to eat or cook because i cant really do it with you right now and that is my favorite part about eating or cooking." UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH made me cry...i got so frustrated and i still kinda am, and i know its silly...but its not easy and so many people think it is. sorry for the rant every one i just needed to vent it out.

Hey everyone! Well i am still having some issues getting in all the liquid and Protein i need, i think a big part of it is i am still always so sleepy and end up napping or sleeping to long and its not easy to play " catch up" . I have found that i am tolerating things very well so far. I have had strained tomato Soup and my unjury just came in the mail today so i will be adding that to the Soups i have from now on. I have had SMALL amounts of Greek yogurt with no adverse affects, I tried the unjury with some crystal lite as well and I like it. I am doing OK getting in Water itself but i need to start measuring it i find i am just sipping it from my glass and i don't rightly know how much i end up sipping. Other then that, i am almost completely off the pain medication, and i am really looking foreword to the puree stage on Wednesday. I experienced a small amount of dumping when i tried certain Vitamins but other then that no vomiting. i was 319 when i went in to surgery and i am 304 right now.
  12. Healing slowly but getting there. 10/28/15 Post!

Yea!!! Your not getting good sleep in the hospital, I was exhausted when I got home. You probably won't want to drink much when you get home either, you just have to make yourself. Have a safe trip home!Thank you, been HOME, been struggling to try to get in everything that I need to drink as far as water goes and protein and the vitamins. I was kind of out of it at the hospital but I remember my surgeon telling me that on my third day which have been a while back now and I haven't done it but he said something along the lines of being able to have sugar free jello sugar free pudding low fat cottage cheese low fat cream soups that have been strained yogurt with no edible fruits in them granted he told me all this when I was in the hospital and under heavy medication at the time still and I'm trying to remember if I heard him right because it doesn't seem like that with anybody else is doing
