  1. What about your liquids? I've heard that you will get really nauseas if you are getting dehydrated. I am anxious to hear from some of the vets on this as it is a concern of mine. I have what my family would call a weak stomach, so I worry about nausea when I have my surgery. I will be watching for your solution too.
  2. I just talked to my hairdresser today about this same thing. She suggested Biotin, which you are already taking. She also advised me to drink a cup of tea with a tablespoon of organic coconut oil and some honey to taste twice a day. She also says that she does a coconut oil hair treatment once a week. Couldn't hurt.
  3. What an awesome day you've had!!! Congratulations, keep rocking!
  4. Well hello kitty! and thanks for the smile. I hope I get an encouraging NSV that soon. I am such an impatient person. Thanks for posting this.
  5. What a wonderful post for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday!
  6. "Whereever two or more are gathered in my name, there will I be also." Even on the internet! Continued prayers for your smooth recovery and weight loss journey.
  7. There's no crying in weightloss!!! Oh wait, that was baseball. Sometimes a good cry is cathartic. Just don't wallow. LOL Read read read the veterans' posts and keep following your program. Prayers up for your peace of mind.
  8. Congratulations jems!! Let the weight loss begin!!
  9. Not feeling a lot of hunger, just some nausea and shaky feeling. But...this too shall pass. LOL
  10. Thanks for posting your experiences. It really helps knowing what you will be up against in the future. I feel like this will be my do over and I sure don't want to blow it.
  11. Yep, Lexie. I'm thinking it's time for a doctor visit.
  12. Amper, you have some real help now where you didn't before. Even when you hit those stalls, your sleeve will keep you from that frustration binging. You still have to make the right choices, but you have that tool to help. You've got this handled. Just keep doing what you are doing and if you need some encouragement, you've come to the right web No apology necessary Rog. The stalls are what trip up many of us. I have set that article as a favorite. Thanks for repeating.

  14. Hey Pogi. I wondered how things were with you. I see you are doing great and looking great too. Congratulations and keep us posted.
  15. Make a list of the possibilities if you have the surgery. Now make a list of possibilities if you don't. Don't forget to list all the negative health issues. Take a look at the possible effects of diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol on the internet. I don't mean to be a prophet of doom, but I am pretty sure the odds of me dying from complications of obesity far outweigh the odds of me dying from complications of WLS. Good luck with your decision.
  16. Hey Skinny, 2 1/2 days down 14 1/2 to go! LOL Watching the calendar and seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. How are you doing?
  17. Well Ms. Awesomeness, you are certainly doing fine. You look wonderful and it looks like you feel that way. Your success is inspirational. Thanks for posting.
  18. Take a look at one of the surgeries on You Tube. It only makes a sleeve because it takes off the large bulge part of your stomach. Everything else remains the same unless you have a hiatal hernia that needs fixing and that is only closing up a hole. I may be over simplifying, but you get the idea. Good luck with your choosing.
  19. WOW! 8 pounds in 10 days! I'm thinking woo hoo! I hope mine is that much when I get my sleeve this month! You are doing great.
  20. Whoa! there Par...dner! A little sensitivity goes a long way! And it could be that as little as we can eat, fat free wouldn't be necessary. See Lexie's post.
  21. My surgery is scheduled for November 17th, two weeks from today. Man, that sounds scarry! LOL Nice to meet you too. I am going out on a limb and assume that is your daughter in the pic with you. She is a beautiful little girl and you "marked" her well because she looks just like you.
  22. Don't give up. Nobody's business if you gain it back or not. At least you will have given it a shot. I also hear that obesity can cause or exacerbate depression. I know it makes me depressed. Have you though about out of country surgery?
  23. I know what you mean. I'm in pre-op liquids mostly and I stay on here or on Pinterest looking at the bariatric recipes! When you try something that is good, please send us a post. You can be our Guinnea Pig. LOL
  24. Prayers up for both you and your surgeon. And for a rapid and smooth recovery.
  25. LOL That kind of reminds me of the Three stooges bit where one is carrying a long 2x4 and turns around and misses the other guy, but continues on around and smacks him in the back of the head! Here in East Texas we call that a backhanded compliment.
