  2. Ham and anything with real mayo.
  3. I chose VSG because with the band you have a foreign object in your body and it has the potential of moving or eroding into your stomach. I did not want bypass because of the higher risk of complications. There was something that seemed a little extreme about rerouting my intestines. The sleeve seemed like a wonderful happy medium. I am 38 days out and thrilled with my decision.
  4. I have a b12 nasal spray that my dr prescribed. I think the name is Nascobal.
  5. Yep! Tfar my mother in law! Everything went good. She doesn't agree with my decision. I guess her opinion will matter when it is her body.
  6. Roller coasters, running, playing on playground with my son, feeling comfortable in public!
  7. The morning of my surgery my mother in law asked me if it was worth my life!!! If I stay MORBIDLY OBESE it will end my life. The nerve of some people!!!!
  8. I was sleeved on 10/20. I am always soooooo thirsty I drink and drink and drink water.... It doesn't seem to quench my thirst. I have tried crystal light, adding lemon drinking it super cold or room temp. Before surgery/preop, the only thing that made me not thirsty was soda. I know that isn't an option now.... Trying not to fall back into old habits. Any suggestions?

  14. I am getting close to where I have always stalled/plateaued in my weight loss efforts before. To be honest I am getting anxious about it, I guess I am afraid to fail again. Things are going well. I am two weeks post op today and I have lost 28 pounds. I just hope that if I continue to do what I am supposed to do that the scale will move in the right direction. I am looking forward to saying goodbye to the 280s forever.

  17. I had some of the broth off of it a day or so ago. I am about the stage you are in. I was only able to eat a few spoonfuls. I would say just to be careful not to eat the chunks and in moderation.

  27. I was sleeved on 10/20. Today I am 299.2! This may not be a big deal to some, but boy am I excited! Next stop is Onderland!
  28. I am 31. Glad you are doing a little better. I did a preop diet for 2 weeks of protein shakes and liquids. I think it made a difference. Also my surgery was done with a devinche(sp) robot. Not sure if that made a difference or not. Most of my soreness is where my Jp drain was.
  29. I also had my surgery on Oct 20th. I am home and getting around pretty good. I am a little tender and sore when I get up and down, but other than that things are going well. Praying for a speedy recovery for you!
  30. I am having surgery 10/20 in Louisville, KY. Good luck to you.
  31. I am scheduled for 10/20 with Dr. Oldham in Louisville, KY.
