What is the difference between gastric bypass and RNY? I thought it was the same thing but I am reading more things on RNY then gastric bypass like it may be a different type of gastric bypass. I have my consultation on monday and I want to be prepared.

I'm with Humana and the only requirement they have is to have a BMI over 40. Waiting on my consultation now.

I went to my first consultation and my dr told me due to my gastritis I need to go with the bypass cause I will end up doing a conversion later. I only want to go thru this once.

My first consultation is tomorrow morning. I'm so excited and ready to get this going. I hope I don't have to wait the 3 months like you did. I'm being impatient. lol
