no restriction all of a sudden....!

hey Guys thanks for replies @@catfish87 I had a second fill on the 24th of august taking me to 6cc in my band (first fill 4cc) I felt quite high restriction but was happy as I could still drink but eat very little at anytime. on Tuesday just gone I ate something and noticed it went down straight away and I hardly felt anything pass my band, I purposely ate a bigger bite as I put this down to the fact that I eat very small bits and chew loads now just out of habit, went down again without a hitch, I then gulped Water as a test to see if it was just me or is something really wrong again went down fine! I have noticed I can swallow bigger bites with much less chewing compared to the Saturday and Sunday eating with high restriction. loads of people have commented saying its normal for weight loss but for me to go from high restriction to none is not right, I could understand if restriction wore off but this was very sudden? I have spoken with my personal adviser who works with the surgeons and have made an appointment for Sunday next week but I think they are just going to pull the Fluid out to see if I have lost any, I guess that will determine what s happening? what happen to you and what was your symptoms for a unbuckle?

  5. hey guys, so I was banded 21st of June 2014 - I would love to here your story so far as you guys seem to be really close to me or a few weeks further; what was your progress as far as pain and mobility in days after the surgery? I have to go back to work next week Monday so I would have had officially 9 days rest, will I be ok to go back? I feel like I am getting better everyday (3 days post op) but I am worried, as my work days are 8hrs long with a 45min drive there and back. thanks for reading look forward to your reply's
  6. hey guy, so today I am 5 days post op, finally took of the dreaded compression stockings.....! yay so happy about that - and took off the plaster type bandages as that's what my instruction letter states to do, but I have this tape on top of the incisions not sure if I am supposed to take these off also? don't really want t mess around with them to much - I have cleaned the areas around the sutures but am scared to get to close, I also had some bleeding from the biggest one shortly after the op I guess this was caused by me moving around not long after surgery but I was advised to do sonot to worried but the blood and glue looks like it will come of with the tape!! not sure what to do - please let me know what you may have done and time frame before you took yours off or if you did at all? thanks you look forward to your reply

I am at the 5 day stage now where you can shower but ended up having a strip wash as I was worried about not knowing the above answers? also where are your ports and incisions located? I have 2 incisions below my breast centred and the other 3 are on my left hand side of my body - think my port is quite high? its just below my rib cage on the left let me know thanks guys
  9. Hi Guys, so I have ben searching for something like this so I can find answers to some of my questions, I have so far been watching loads of videos but have noticed a lot of the people making video diary's on Youtube are form America, which is not a issue as I am sure the surgery is the same but would be nice to find out if there is anyone closer to me - I live in south London (England). please let me know if your a little closer to me that would be fab!! So before I get babbling my topic and main points I wanted to talk about is how I'm feeling - I had my band fitted on Saturday 21st 2014 so I am 2-3 days post op, my port area is really painful I have all my incisions on my left upper side which is why I think its so tender - I have been ok with gas as I have been walking around my house and it seems to be moving but I did get shoulder pain to begin with, I was a little naive as to how painful it would be as the videos I have watched nobody ever really complained about the port but more the gas so complete opposite to me I guess, but I have seen some comments on here which suggest that the port area tenderness seems to fade after around day 3-4 I pray that is the case as I'm back to work next week Monday. I was also wondering I have to keep my compression stockings on for 5 days!!! has anyone else been advised to do this - I know its to help but it is really hot here in London at the moment so want to just rip them off...! but I wont Also I have been sent home with 6 days worth of injections I have to give myself once a day - again has anyone else had to do this as I haven't seen or read anyone else mention it? I was told they are to prevent blood clots both the injections and stockings but again anyone who as experienced this please let me know thanks for reading look forward to your comments

    Day 3 general feelings

hey Guys, thank you for all your comments, I woke up feeling a little better today I noticed my port area is more sore when I have been sitting and then get up to walk around? I have been trying to keep up my Fluid intake but no way have I been getting through 2-3ltr but I have spoken with my nurse and she said this is fine and just to drink as much as I can - I have really been relying on cuppa Soup (chicken) and Heinz Soups, I actually managed to finish my first pot of muller yoghurt today which I am really happy with as I have not managed to get a quarter of the way through since surgery as it is a bit thick, so I know the swelling is going down..! Has anyone got any suggestions on what else I can eat that worked for them? I have been told anything that can go through a straw I can have, please let me know what worked for you thanks guys look forward to your comments
