RNY - how are you feeling?

I also had RNY Tuesday, July 8, 2014. I'm home. Yesterday I got in 54 ounces of fluid which included some chicken broth and two proteins shakes. Pain seems to be minimal as I haven't had to take any pain meds in the last 24 hours. I do feel hungry which I thought I wouldn't. And unfortunately I haven't lost even 1 ounce. I did walk 15 minutes today so I feel good about that just on the back patio.
  6. I am a 61 year old woman who works full time as a RN director of an emergency dept. I will be having surgery this Tuesday. I am the grandmother of a baby boy who's going to turn one in August and 13-year-old girl who I met when she was nine. I'm looking forward to this as I weigh 336 pounds and I would like to get down 150 lbs. I have not been heavy all of my life but since my children were born the last one born 26 years. Anybody have tips or hints for me. I would really appreciate anything. Look forward to getting support from you all and also giving some support if I can. Thank you. Keep your fingers crossed for me at 9:30 and Tuesday, July 8 Mountain standard time. Prayers welcome too!

    Surgery July 7th 2014

2AM. Just got done walking, used incentive spirometers now siting in the chair! My surgery yesterday. Surgery was less than 3 hours, also had my gallbladder out. Minimal pain and walking really helps. I'm so glad that I had this procedure to get healthy, fit and positive!
