Yah, that's where I am now. It's kind of sad, lol. But I've decided I'm going to get the girls taken care of. I was a 44D, and am now a 34 (almost 32) B. That's with "rolling them up"! A lift won't do it for me, there's nothing left :-( I've been collecting pics for the plastic surgeon, and researching. There's a lot to learn. For example, I thought I could walk in and say "make me a C"...nope! If you think it's in your future, it's definitely a good idea start saving now!

I watched it too, and agree it was pretty sad. I could relate to them in many ways and empathized. It showed me a side of "living large" that I hadn't really seen before. Although I had seen a glimpse of the BBW folks from Zyalynn's episode of My 600lb. Life. It's a foreign dynamic to me. But I guess they feel they all understand each other. But you could really see all that change as some of them got WLS. I don't think any of them, except for one, had the support they needed. To me, that's such a huge part of being successful.

Nerves are totally normal! You're life is about to change if you go through with it - that's what you want, isn't it? I'm a year an a half out, and I can tell you my life is "normal". True, I don't drink with my meal. Whoopee But I've no issues drinking Water whenever I want otherwise. As far as beer or alcohol, you're going to get different opinions on that. I will occasionally have a drink - but one will do it. And it hits fast. But I'm not a kid any more and not out to par-tay. I've also had to address my food issues. Had to grow up and face them some time. I guess my 50's was it! I have my health and my life back. Wish I could have done this decades ago. Remember, it's just a tool. The success, it's ultimately up to you. But I bet you all ready knew that Best of luck with your decision. There's always a seat for you on the losers bench :-)

Some people just need to hear the truth. "well THAT was rude" would have been an appropriate response IMO. And look straight at her. I would agree that she's insecure by the way she so easily puts someone down. I bet no one calls her on it. Always have the throat punch as a backup ???? Keep up the good work - 50 lbs wow!!

I was wondering that myself. I had the sleeve...but knew a bunch of folks going through the bypass at the same time. Didn't hear anything about it. Maybe there's something he prescribes. But as soon as they showed what he was going through I was yelling "stricture!" at the tv ????

Nothing wrong with that at all! I can kind of relate - when I had my high school reunion this summer (I was the one always picked on for being overweight) I made sure I looked *good*. ???? Besides, part of this entire transformation was I was able to leave the frumpy me behind. I was hiding all that under baggy, boxy clothes. I don't have to any more unless I choose to. I don't really think that's being terribly vain... Hope you have a blast!

Congrats! And yes, make sure you have a copy of the policy and fully understand it. I've seen too many cases denied by Aetna at surgery time because the patient dipped below 35 bmi the day of surgery because of their pre-op diet. Just something to be aware of, or perhaps inquire about if you get near that bmi. And congrats again !!

When I had WLS, I was of the mindset that I didn't care if I had loose skin. What ever, I just want to be healthy. Now, having started the journey in to plastics, I can certainly relate. I won't say I had loathing for my loose skin, but it definitely bothered/bothers me. The way my upper arms would sag and wrinkle like prunes, even though I have built up awesome biceps and triceps. I couldn't build more muscle without looking like the Hulk The hanging belly. Not only was not pleasant to look at when undressed, but clothes just are not made to stuff that mess in there. Plus the rashes and issues when I'd exercise were another frequent reminder. So I've had an arm lift, a panni, and a tummy tuck. And I have to say it's only the beginning. Not because I want to be "Barbie". OMG, I'm 53 for heaven sake. But it really is finishing off all of this hard work. It's the final chapter that I'll be happy to close and put behind me. I just need that winning power ball number!

I saw a recipe I want to try...place a half in a muffin tin, break an egg on it and bake. Garnish with salsa. Looked yummy!

I am 5 weeks out tomorrow from a brachioplasty (also a TT and panni). I am also having arm pain, and it varies in where it is. It can some times be around the elbow(s), or radiate down the arm a bit, or be right by the incision by my bicep. But it's all still healing and as it was explained to me by my surgeon, all normal. The work is all done right next to a nerve that runs down your arm. It's going to be irritated for a while. I've attached a pic from last week. They all ready look much better a week later, and now that I've started the massaging. Hang in there.

Ok, someone needs to cut up my VS card. Lol But apart from places like Old Navy, and random places at the mall, no favorites yet. Some good ideas here I'll be checking out. I've been below my goal almost 6 months and still feel a bit out of place in "normal" stores. Weird. One thing I thought was funny was that while I was dropping weight and hitting the pool frequently, I'd buy swimsuits on line from "swimsuitsforall". They need to change their name... They don't have my size. Nothing below a 6...thought it was ironic.

I dropped in steps, had lots of plateaus. You'll get through it, just keep working your plan. It's very normal :-)

I use a ninja. The one that's like the bullet. It'll be 2 years old in April. So far it's doing great. I use it every day. If you are worried about "air" in your shake, just let it sit for a bit first.

I'm currently recovering from a TT, arm lift, and panni. I'm 8 days post op. I stayed one night in the hospital. That one night was covered by my insurance under the panni. I think paid 7k for the TT and 3k for the arms. Or 6 and 4. Something like that. It was another 10k anyway. It's been a tough week, but I'm super happy.

I had a low BMI. But ended up with lots of loose skin I'm actually sitting here recovering from an arm lift, abdomiplasty, and panni. Had these done Wednesday. I was overweight all of my life and I'm 53. My skin wasn't bouncing back. But everyone is different. So many factors play a role.

Ours is monthly through my surgeons group. Until this month I've not missed one. I'll be 5 days out from my plastics, so I'll be in no shape to be there, lol. It's great to support folks going through the process. It also keeps me grounded and focused. That's what keeps me going each month. Plus, I like the people

I haven't been able to figure out what's causing it for me. I've just started the gas-x tabs. They seem to be helping. I'm well over a year out and it's been going on for a while now.

good luck! Only you know what's right for you. From all I've seen/read/heard from others is it's a different experience for each person. Some sail through it with little to no pain, and others says it's awful. Just research and be prepared :-) I happen to be going for my plastics pre-op on Tuesday. Definitely getting some jitters, lol. Good luck!
