  1. Depression is very real. I think going through such a major transformation could definitely trigger a tidal wave of emotions and stress leading to depression, which is unfortunate because this really should be a joyous time! Keep in contact with your Dr. and hopefully working together this shall pass! Best of luck!
  2. I can see during the first few weeks but why couldn't you down the road when your pouch is healed? It doesn't seem to make any sense to me how it can hurt you after your healed.....
  3. I'm glad to hear people who took the shorter times didn't have any issues. I have to go back to work at 10 days post op and have been so nervous about it. I've seen people say they took off 6 wks!

  13. Do I have to tell my employer or HR manager what I'm doing? I didn't want to tell anyone about the vsg surgery I plan on having with Dr. Garcia. We have pto (paid time off) not sick/vacation days. I am planing on using 7 of my pto days in March to have the surgery. My only concern would be if God forbid there are unexpected complications that keep me out longer. I have a desk job with no lifting required other than picking up the phone and feel like even with a little pain I should be able to push through, but what's your guys take on this?

  16. I have logged into this website at first on my laptop and just used to connect through fb link. Now when I use my iphone app I cannot get logged in bc I don't have a user name/password. I tried to register using my info but it says that my email is already in use as is my name. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

  19. How many oz of liquids should we try to get everyday? And do protien shakes count in that total or is it a certain amount of water plus whatever protien shakes Ontop of that
