  1. I love the fitbit products. I currently have the flex but I'm looking to upgrade to the charge HR.
  2. I agree with it seeming like everyone wants super fast results. I'm always seeing posts like, "3 weeks out and only down 30 what am I doing wrong?" I'm like seriously?!?! ONLY down 30 lbs in 3 wks?!?! When have you ever in your life lost 10 pounds a week!! I'd say your doing freaking amazing! But alas I'm preop so what do I know......
  3. I'm scheduled with dr Fernando Garcia for June 12th but he no longer uses that hospital as he is now at CER.
  4. @Rachel Jacobson did you go back to work right away? How were you feeling?
  5. I tried many of these today and only 2 or 3 are sending me samples. Most of them said the sell sample sizes.
  6. Did anyone take any vitamins preop? I purchased a bottle of preop vitamins from bariatric advantage and was thinking about taking those 30 days prior to my surgery. Just wondering if there's actually any benefit to doing this.
  7. That's one of my concerns as well. I do have health insurance through my job however WLS is excluded and so are any related procedures and or complications. One of my main concerns is problems with my gallbladder. If in a few months I do have a problem with my gallbladder and I disclose that I have had WLS will they not pay for it because they think it's related to the Vsg? Or will I be able to justify that anyone at anytime can have gallbladder issues?
  8. I'll be arriving June 11 surgery date June 12 and I'll be returning home the 16th!
  9. Hey how is Steve? Did he have his revision surgery in Chicago?
  10. I will spend One preop night at the Marriott then tonight the hospital followed by an additional two nights post up at the Marriott home the next day.
  11. Yea I think when you look at it long term the cost does stretch out and become less of a hinderance. I think just the initial up front costs kind of shocked me lol!
  12. @@Janex43 what hotel does he use?
  13. That's why I don't want to tell anyone. I've told one of my sisters and I honestly don't know if she actually believe me! I don't plan on telling anyone else until I get back. When I told the dietician at my pcp office she gave me this lecture about me being so young (27) and that I can do this on my own. She said that the surgery isn't for people who only need to lose 100lbs but more for people who need to lose 200-300. Smh I don't understand how someone with a masters degree can be so small minded and uneducated.
  14. Yea ur really close! Where are you going? Yea ur really close! Where are you going?
  15. No way! Are you using Dr. Slone?
  16. Florence hospital is a real deal hospital. My surgeon use to operate there before he moved to Hospital CER.
  17. That's good to know! Thanks!
  18. So how is it that I've trolled this site and numerous Facebook support group sites for over a year and still have managed to be completely dumbfound on the prices associated with the post op life style? As my surgery date draws near (June 12th) I have decided to map out a list of all things I need to still purchase. I went online to bariatric advantages to purchase all my vitamins. $191 later I now have a 3 mth supply! Wow! I knew they were going to be pricey but I wasn't prepared for that high of a number! Next I ordered my food scale $15 not bad, my single serve blender which was also not bad at just $15 and then went to price out some protein! Holy smokes $45 for a tub of zero carb isopure! Ok, ok, I'll just look for the premade isopure drinks instead.....still $45 for a 12 pack! Yikes! Looks like I'm going to have to hold off a few weeks before that purchase!
  19. I'll be having mine June 12th with Dr. Fernando Garcia.
  20. Who was your coordinator?
  21. Has anyone scheduled through TJ bariatrics?
