  1. I'm planning on starting C25K tomorrow...I'm only 2 weeks out, so will probably end up walking majority of it. I would love to hear what you all do. Love getting ideas to break up the monotony. If you found a workout really pushed you past a weight loss rut...please share!
  2. I should have said Ng tube, not breathing tube...but either way, it's a precaution I'm willing to take so I won't be "sorry" later :-)
  3. These things are made and suggested for a reason. It was briefed to me (and apparently others) prior to having surgery. I was told it would be a good idea to keep something in my wallet or research getting a bracelet. It is simply a precaution. I know I am not the only bandster to be briefed this prior to surgery. I, for one, will trust my surgeon's advice on the matter.
  4. You can do a general search for them...different companies sell them and engrave them for free....so if you have other things to put on there, it can all be one one bracelet.

    Stomach gurgling/growling

I burp a lot more than I used to...in fact, I think my "soft stop" is a burp...lol. We are a noisy bunch now, aren't we?

    Stomach gurgling/growling

yep..all through the liquid stage I was starving...mushies, it got better..still gurgled a bit. I had some serious hunger pains the first week. It gets better as you are able to get more down.
  7. The vitamins made me that way during liquids and mushies...I can finally stomach them on solids.

    Virtual Lap Band via hypnosis?

I read that this morning...I'm not sure I believe it.
  10. You look amazing! I bet it feels awesome :-) So happy for you!
  11. lost another pound while on solid foods..woot!

  12. How's your right side doing? All okay?
  13. Got mine off Amazon...go to Amazon and search "lapband medical ID".
  14. Me too! I found a pretty one...it looks like a normal ladies bracelet. Kinda. Lol
  15. I am ordering one today...if you get in an accident, they might stick a breathing tube down your throat which is bigger than the band...as you can imagine, it would do you more harm than good. Its just a precaution you can take.
  16. Keep me posted...I still feel it, but it is nearly gone now.
  17. I just went through the same thing! I'm 3 weeks post op.... not sure what was causing it, but it seems to be going away. Lasted about 4 days. Was really achey right under the right rib cage and hurt to turn certain ways or take a deep breath. I was thinking it might be the port area as well..or maybe I tweaked a muscle. No idea... Just thankful it has gotten better.
  18. I just got banded on June 10th. A couple days ago I started getting really achey under my right rib cage... It kinda radiates to my back shoulder. It makes it hard to take a deep breath. Bras make it worse. I'm not sure if this is just normal aches and pains from surgery, or if it's a pulled muscle... Or gall bladder? I see my surgeon in a week. So will address it with him then, because it isn't straight up pain...more of an annoyance right now. It is pretty constant. Anyone have anything similar going on? How many of you had gall bladder issues after surgery? (I really hope it isn't that)

    Achey under right rib cage

My right side felt great today...but I will still ask the surgeon about it. I'll have to try that trick to see if I can feel the port...kinda weird having something right under the skin, isn't it? The port and needle business almost made me reconsider this surgery... But, I'm glad I went through with it :-)
  20. First day on solid foods...and no issues! woohoo!! Just fuller quicker :-)

    Achey under right rib cage

It seems to be getting better by the day, so I'm thinking it's muscle related. If it gets worse again, I will call. I'm starting to wonder if that's where my port is? My left side is fine, no aches at all. Can you ladies touch and feel your port under the skin? I can't seem to feel where mine is. I thought I knew right after surgery, but apparently I have no clue. Lol! I remember the surgeon saying it would be right up around the bra line area...higher up than I've seen others. I think he does that to hide it better as the weight drops.

    Achey under right rib cage

So it's on the right hand side for you guys too? I can lay on either side now, and the pressure actually helps it. Bras are really not comfortable at all...and deep breaths hurt. I can relate to the driving...I struggle to get out of the seat after sitting straight up for so long. If I turn the wrong way during the day....yowza! Surgery must really tear the core muscles up...sheesh!
