    Christian bandsters

Hi, I just started using myfitnesspal yesterday. I have had a long journey (08/2008) with the lapband and would get it again tomorrow but I would certainly do some things differently. I am tutornmom on myfitnesspal as well. Does it track fats and carbs or just calories?

    Reflux during the night

Thanks everyone! I have gone back and forth over that last year with my band more empty than full. I am now back up to 4ccs. I am going next week to go up a little more but that will be it due to the reflux. I am completely off reflux meds right now and never have issues. I have gained a great deal of weight back during this year partially due to this but also because I stopped my Wellbutrin. I am back on Wellbutrin and losing again. We, the surgeon and I, have just got to find the right fill in the band. I don't want to go back on meds for reflux so if I get a fill and start having trouble again, I will come back to 4ccs and stay. Thanks for you input!

  5. 3 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 3rd Anniversary tutornmom!

  6. Hi! That is great to hear that you have done so well. What part of Alabama are you from? I live in Millbrook and my dr. is Dr. Mora in prattville

  7. Thanks Tutornmom.. I use to work in Wetumpka Tutwiler and we would go to tallasee to eat the hotel talis or however you spell it..

  8. After several adjustments, I have finally gotten past the constant shoulder pain. I am taking a migraine prevention medicine again but I am about to go on a glutten and casein free diet to see if that will help with the migraines and some other issues. I need to be exercising more and I know that would help as well! I still love my band!
  9. We live pretty close! This is the best thing I have ever done for myself and my family! Message me if you have questions or need to talk or whatever!

    Gallbladder gone bad

I had mine out on 9/2/10 and was on my feet again in no time! My port area did stay sore for awhile and what I could eat was limited for a while. It did take a while to get to full strength but I have been under a lot of stress and had a lot going on so it was probably more than just this surgery.

    Surgery date is 6/1/10!!!!!

Something would be wrong if you weren't anxious. I will pray for you! It has been almost 2 years for me. I was thinking right up until surgery that I had lost my mind but I have not regretted it.
  12. I have been on reflux medicine for years. It has always bothered me during the day. For the past 6 months, it has moved to nights. My PCM has changed my meds and I am now trying a 3rd as of today. I literally wake up some nights choking on acid. I have a wedge under my mattress to keep my head elevated. I finish eating and taking medicine at least 2 hours before I go to bed. I finish drinking about 1.5 hours before I go to bed. I have to eat very small meals and make sure I don't have any PBs during the day or I know I am in for a LONG night. I need to drink more water because I know that helps and I am working on it. I don't think it is related to my lap-band but I thought I would see if anyone is having similar troubles. My lap-band doctor said he would have been worried that it was a slip if it happened consistently but it doesn't. Any thoughts?
  13. I can ride any roller coaster I want to ride! In just a couple more lbs, I will weigh less than everyone in my family! I don't feel like I have to hide behind people and things in pictures. I could name hundreds but those are probably the best for today!
  14. Hi, I don't post very often. I usually just read but I have a couple of things going on and I can't find any posts with information about them so I am seeing if I get some response. I am having neck and shoulder pain. I see a chiropractor regularly. I exercise. I do sit at a desk a great deal for work but this is more than your normal fatigue. I have had an MRI of my neck and they just saw mild degeneration which would be normal. My chiropractor says that my body is having to adjust to my constantly changing weight. I am wondering if it could be related to everything hanging in front. I would love to hear if you have had similar problems. What I can do? What I need to ask the doctors? I need some relief and I am not able to take n-saids (arthritis medicine) and really have to limit the amount of tylenol I take. Thanks!
  15. I am not really sure how to join other than just posting but you and I may be the only ones still out here. Around the first of the year most everyone that had been active seemed to drop away - many had reached their goal or were frustrated at not reaching their goal. I have been thinking of finding another group to find support in but haven't had much time to do anything about it with my teenagers schedule this spring. I would be glad to try and support each other. I have a goal set for Memorial Day weekend (US) then I will be setting one for my anniversary day in August. Of course, I already know what that goal is but I may shoot for a little higher than I had originally planned. How are things going with your lapband? My FIL asks me about once a month when we go out to eat if I regret it. My answer is always the same - I would do it again tomorrow - even when I have days like yesterday. Hope to hear from you again!
