I think the most useful advice I can give is: (1) follow the program completely, (2) buy premier protein shakes, (3) don't be too hard on yourself (4) recognize in the beginning it going to be hard to get liquids in but work hard at it, you're not going to reach your protein goal but work at it and you may not feel like yourself (it's okay), (5) expect some type of emotional roller coaster (2 week out I yelled at the lady in the grocery store (this is so not me). She mixed up my groceries after I had been in the store for 2 hours reading ever single label and I hadn't eaten in a month - quite embarrassing!) - its okay, (6) enjoy seeing the pounds come off and take lot of pictures.

I am so sorry you are going through all of that. My suggestion is to call your doctor and inform him about what's going on. Your doctor and his staff are your best friends right now. I don't care if you think its stupid call them. They want you to do good!

SD Kelly, I am so happy for you. To be honest, my doctor expected people to cheat on the pre-op diet. He did not want you too but he understood that it is difficult for a person that has eaten the way they want their entire life and now to change without help. I say just follow the program and you will be fine. I am 3 months and 8 days out and down 78lbs. Crazy in 3 months... I've lost 78lbs. It is my goal to be strict for 2 years to set new habits and new eating habits. After that I can start treating myself with portion control. You got this!

SD Kelly, it does get easier as the days go by. Think about your goal and where you want to be.

Hey all, I have not checked in - in a while and thought I would stop by to say hello and to hear about everyone's progress so far.

Wondering if anyone experienced hungrier immediately after having the sleeve to the points liquids were not filling you up? I have a friend approximately 5 days out and she is hungry. I don't understand because I haven't gotten hungry really at all and I'm 3 mos. July 16th.
-
Wow, I thought everyone loss the sweet tooth and the hunger. I want to support her but I don't know how too because I didn't experience the hunger or cravings. For me food sometimes become a chore... I have to eat. I'm still struggling getting everything in. How can I support her?
-
Thanks all. I just don't know how to support her because my experience was and is very different. She's started eating soft foods without being released from the doctor. What can I do to support her.

Just get back on your grind. You didn't fail... Today is a new day!

I wish I was a swimmer. I have the same issue at my gym. They have a water aerobic class and I haven't taken it because of the swimsuit.

Everything gets better day by day. Hang in there and rejoice in now being in the losers bench.

Advice... Follow your doctor's orders and don't take their advice lightly. Other than that enjoying losing!

Wow! I cannot get more in than 800 calories in at the most. I'm full all of the time. I'm a 4 day gym girl too. I do an hour on the treadmill increasing my incline every 5 minutes until I reach 15 incline and then I come back down and run my last 10 minutes. I also do the elliptical on hills increasing my every 10 minutes. I also do a lot of inner thigh and chest and back. I haven't started ab work. I plan to start abs on my 3 month anniversary. I lose a 1lb to 1.8lbs most weeks but last week was big. I also noticed before a big loss I gain a lb and loss tons of inches and then I see a loss.

Wondering how many calories everyone eat daily. I have my calories set at 800 calories daily but I never reach it.
-
Approximately, 40lbs for me.

I started walking the 2nd day after surgery. I started elliptical and walk/run 1 month after surgery and classes the 2nd month... My 3rd month I plan to start to add ab work to my routine.

I water started tasting blah to me so I started adding the crystal light lemonade and I've been meeting my liquids.

I intensified my workout a little, made sure I rested my muscles after intense workouts, watch my water and protein intake. I've also been working out almost daily.

SD:4/16/14 - SW: 300 - CW: 234 (Down 66lbs) I am little excited... I had a big lose this week. I lose 4.2lbs this week and since I saw Dr. Singh 15lbs. My goal weight by July 7th next visit with Dr. Singh is 229 (per my scale - his scale is always slightly different from mine).
