they may be afraid that you'll become prettier than them, or they will be ashamed that they were looking at you like something and not like somebody, they will be scared to see you becoming selfconfident, they don't even try to understand, you are just ennoying them with your so called weight problems, as you don't complain so much about the pains, it means that it doesn't exist....also they will make you feel like surgery doesn't diserve any glory, loosing weight with such tool is just like cheating, as if going under general anesthesy and major surgery was a playing game!
they can be good friends, but when it reaches such a serious matter, forget about what they think, everybody has energy to face his problem, for yours they will use empty mouth and useless words to treat it.

Fully agreed! But after I did research I wasnt impressed. My experience was great but when went back for dads surgery I was very very disappointed with Omar.

I'm still trying to reach dr Illan about it, I need some explanations from him before i make my full testimony, he has to answer my doctor's questions, then i will definitly know if they conived together with Omar or not

Assuming your allegations are true of which I have no evidence, how do you know Dr. Illan knows anything about it or what his motivations are if you have never spoken with him?
You made another post of Dr. Aceves where you advised people to not go to Mexico at all. You, yourself, have stated that you used to work as a coordinator. Do you have any business dealings in the bariatric world now? Do you work for any company that makes money off of this population - be it an online support group, sales, or the like? Why did you stop being a coordinator? Was it only because of your as stated botched surgery or were there other reasons - perhaps personality conflicts or the like? Is there any possible professional conflict of interest going on?
I am only asking these questions - not to accuse you of anything - but to ascertain your own credentials/motives since you have stated it is your goal to bring someone down and a decent surgeon with him based upon allegations when you have not actually spoken to the doctor in question.

Those who are > bmi 40 with good insurance and paying almost $0...should just let people with bmi< 35 keep on struggling to save their health before it becomes morbid and that are ready to pay $5000-$10,000 for it.
@OGmom3122 "i would never got over seas", no problem, you can say so since you have possibility to stay home and have the surgery done.
but if you were suffering with no possibility to be rescued/helped, won't you think about going elsewhere? or should we all (bmi<35) just eat like madness and put on weight in order to get a surgery done in USA/Europe???

The idea of just automatically crossing surgery off the list because its not in the USA I don't buy into. I am a fairly seasoned traveler who has lived a lot in Africa. I know perfectly well that there are good medical centers to be found outside of the USA/Europe. By the way, Mexico is not considered '3rd world' rather it is considered a 'developing country'. Heck, half of the doctors in the USA were trained in foreign medical schools (including in the 3rd world) and then came here for their residencies. That said, one definitely needs to do research above and beyond before deciding on any surgeon. When one is considering a place like Mexico, one should take into factors like corruption, sanitation, etc. One should be skeptical of internet forums because we know damn well there are coordinators posting as patients.
That doesn't mean that one can't get a good surgeon with due diligence though. I reject blanket condemnations of Mexican surgeons as much as I reject blanket praises of them.

Congrats! I've also decided to go to ILLAN if I don't have sleep apnea so my insurance will cover it. Anyways I just wanted to say thank you bc you were a big help with me choosing him!

The girl at the call center was nice to me, she said i will be at Mariott hotel,...
I'm paying $4,500
Now I have to follow the procedure, I'm quite exited now....
(NB: this booking was further cancelled, and i switched to dr Illan fraijo)
