  1. Love the balconette bra from Lane Bryant! I have gone from a 42DDD to a 38H (band size went down but boobs the same size, so had to go up in cup size). These bras are so supportive and give great shape! Plus they go on sale every now and then, a definite plus!
  2. I'm in! I need some accountability!
  3. I so wanted to be part of this little group of mama's! I just miscarried at about 6 weeks. This is my 3rd miscarriage, 1st post surgury. Doctor thinks it may not have as much to do with my wrought as originally thought. Please send good vibes my way so that we can figure out what will help me maintain a pregnancy! I'm more than ready to join your club! I'm very happy for all of you ladies and wish you happy and healthy babies!
  4. My nut said the protein in it is supposed to be absorbed in the stomach, not the lower digestive track, therefore with our tiny stomachs we will not get the full effect of it and it isn't backed by any proven science, it isn't recommended.
  5. Way to go! We have similar stats! 5 months post op and I'm down 70! I agree it feels so great to be shopping in normal stores!
  6. I'm totally right there with you! I'm 4.5 months post op and I'm so ready to start trying! This is the biggest reason I had wls, and now that I've lost almost 70lbs, I'm ready to get pregnant!
  7. Trust the home pregnancy test! I work in a medical laboratory for a hospital & we use the same tests you can buy in a store. Just make an apt with your ob-gyn for your first ultrasound, no need to pay for an office visit just to test!
  8. I'm 17 weeks post op, 1st Thanksgiving post op. I had a few bites of everything and was completely satisfied! I also noticed how large everyone else's portions were and was so thankful for my sleeve! I used to be the one with huge portions, going back for seconds and feeling sluggish and awful. It was great to be full, but not stuffed and not feel like crap!
  9. Not only am I happily in onederland, I have achieved goal #2, for the first time in our entire relationship, I now weigh less than my husband! Even if it's only by .2 lbs, I'm thrilled! Yay!
  10. I hit onederland today! So happy to get past that stall and to see that 1 as the first number on the scale! 14 weeks post-op. Down 60lbs total, 34 since surgury, 59 to goal! Half way there!
  11. I'm wondering how long it took everyone to reach their goal? How much did you have to lose? Do you struggle with maintaining?
  12. In the undergarment section. Here is hanging on the walls around the dressing room.
  13. I like body suits, they look like a one piece swimsuit but dip down under the bust, some have thigh coverage as well. Since they have straps, they don't roll down! I have gotten all of mine at Walmart!
  14. I am 28, been ttc since my husband and I married 2.5 years ago. We had one miscarried and that's it. I don't have any diagnosed fertility issues. I am hoping that this weight loss will be the ticket to conceiving. We are planning to start trying again in January, I will be 6mos post-op. So fast I'm down from 259 to 202. Hoping to get down to at least 175 by January!
  15. I wore a loose dress and flip flops to and from the hospital, spent the rest of the time in the gowns they provided. Didn't wear bras, they were too much of a hassle. Bring a phone charger! Chapstick. After you have the surgury, start walking as soon as you can handle it, it helps get rid of excess gas and works the anesthesia out of your system! Sip water often as soon as you get the OK.
  16. I'm almost there too! We can do it!
  17. No blood thinners. I take my vitamins and prilosec, that's it. Checked my blood counts about a month ago, all in the normal ranges.
  18. I have noticed a lot of bruising on my thighs lately. I'm wondering if it has something to do with recently starting to lift heavier weights and doing squats? Or if it could indicate a more serious problem like blood clots? I'm almost certain I haven't been running around crashing into every thigh - high object I can find! Has this happened to anyone else?
  19. Till I can comfortably cross my legs, not at the ankle, thigh over thigh!
  20. Yea, that's a good idea, but it seriously might make me want the food more than I already do right now...what I would give for a turkey and cheese roll-up! Haha, these next couple months are going to be very difficult!
  21. I'm one week out from surgery and I'm so ready to eat again, I can't hardly stand it...last night I almost blended up a piece of the homemade pizza I made for my husband last night! The protein shakes are starting to repulse me, soups too. How will I survive?
  22. There is a butter flavor you can get in the extract section at the grocery store (I saw it used for a cinnamon roll flavored Protein shake).
  23. I too, was sleeved on the 29th. I feel great, up and walking a lot, cleared to drive even! Only taking childrens Tylenol for pain. I drink 2 protein shakes a day, spread out of course, and eat strained soup with unflavored protein mixed in. Drinking at least 64oz water/flavored water a day. I've lost 14lbs since surgery!
  24. Jay Robb is very suttle in it's flavors and you can mix it well(blends well with just a blender bottle) with sugar free puddings and flavorings. I get it at Whole Foods, but you can rder it online too. The Unury brand isn't bad either.
  25. I'm 9 days into my 2week liquid diet. I've found that I prefer the taste and texture of Jay Robb protein(I found it at whole foods, but you can order it online too). I like to mix PB2 with the chocolate and I like to mix in sugar free pudding flavors like banana(with the chocolate) or pistaschio(with the vanilla)! I also add extract flavors for a few different tastes, like Almond Joy and Root Beer float(without adding any soda)! I do tolerate the unjury unflavored with broth. So ready to have my surgury so I don't feel hungry all day every day! Haha, I know a lot of it is in my head, but if I don't keep myself busy I go crazy!
