Bruising on thighs...something to worry about?

I have noticed a lot of bruising on my thighs lately. I'm wondering if it has something to do with recently starting to lift heavier weights and doing squats? Or if it could indicate a more serious problem like blood clots? I'm almost certain I haven't been running around crashing into every thigh - high object I can find! Has this happened to anyone else?

Wow. I have that, too!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hmmm. I was wondering if something was wrong with my blood counts or something, and was going to get some blood work done soon (my white count had been running a bit low, but my platelets, etc., had been fine). Intersting that someone else has it, too, post-wls. I'll check into this.

PS: And no, it's not because I've been doing to much exercise. I wish.

Your blood is prob a little thin ... Are u on heprin , lovanox (sp),asprin. ....

'Dg...,' Glad you mentioned that, and I meant to ask the OP, because yes, certain meds--even OTCs--can thin blood, cause low platelets, etc. But I'm not on any of those things and still have the discolorations, though they are now faded. Wondering about other possible medical conditions (hope not!)

Good luck i really doubt its anything to worry about ! But its always good to just make sure.

No blood thinners. I take my vitamins and prilosec, that's it. Checked my blood counts about a month ago, all in the normal ranges.
