Yay!!! Great job!!!

Hello! I'm in Denver, had my surgery with Dr Brown...and am so far, it's been pretty successful. ))) email me if you want help, motivation, support...anything.

I'm now a little over 5ccs and I'm down 40lbs from my surgery in December. I lost more than the 1-4 lbs this past month but I am still hungry when I only eat about a cup of food. I stop even though I'm hungry just to stick with my diet. I really stressed this and it didn't seem to help. I don't want to be forced to eat more just because they won't fill me but I might have to.

I'm down only like 40 lbs since my surgery and haven't noticed any drastic change with my girls yet. (thankfully) I'm also 6'1" so my weight is really spread out. I think my boyfriend and I have been getting along a lot better. I feel more secure with myself and I think that makes him feel better about me...or I'm allowing him to show what he has always wanted to. Good luck with your surgery. Mine was a breeze...wish I would have done it sooner.

I'm okay with shoving 5 extra pounds of skin into a spanx rather than 100 extra into my jeans.

I tell anyone. The more, the merrier. I think that having every single person that is around you on a daily basis knowing what you're going through, then it's going to be a lot easier. I've told almost everyone I know that I am going to get it done and the only people who have responded in any sort of negative way are my sister and my father...but they're both fatties that love being that way. Everyone else is super supportive. They'll know what the actually surgery will be like, the healing, the food, the exercise, emotions, etc. They can relate if they know what they're relating to. And, I think the two that aren't very supportive now, will be once I actually get the procedure done.

I am very new to the insurance world. I just signed for insurance that starts today and reading up they need 5 years of history, correct? well, i went to a doctors from the time I was in middle school up until last year (I'm 23 now) when they said they have no records of me going there. I was upset and got into an argument with the lady who insisted she couldn't find anything on me and I would have to completely come in as a new patient and do a financial screening, which is required yearly. I didn't have time for that and I was too upset so I just went to a 24 hour clinic as a walk in. I'm not just worried since they couldn't find anything on me then to update my files, how am I supposed to get 5 years of history? Is it common for places to delete, or trash records? I sure hope not. I will cry. I'm kind of lost right now.

oh man, that's horrible. maybe he's just not into having a girlfriend of any size...and if you were some skinny chick he might have done the same? who knows...if not, eff him.

Okay, I've never had insurance and now I have some starting in January. I'm not too certain how I start this process. Do I first get in contact with my insurance to make sure they even cover it, contact the bariatric center or a clinic first? I'm not sure what step to even take first.

I'm so dumb when it comes to insurance. Thank you for all of your help, really.

Another question, should I start this Jan 1st or should I be calling now? I don't know if anyone would be willing to help yet.
